We are starting to get left behind in the transfer market and it doesn't seem we are close to signing anyone. Eds do you know if we are taking significant steps to sign anyone? Kieta isn't happening.

{Ed002's Note - The transfer window has only been open a week and Liverpool has signed two players. Obviously Klopp has gone back on his previous statement that he was looking to have everything done early (this would be for his four nominated first pick targets), but that was not to be. A lot of the fans don't seem to care who Liverpool buy as long as they are expensive. Klopp needs to get it right now and perhaps someone has suggested that blundering from player-to-player will simply result in knee jerk purchases that do not improve the side. Everything is fine, I would not worry about it.}

Decimus, the only time we can analyse the window is at the end, Everton have brought a lot of players which will take a while to gel but we weren't in for any of them (on the subject of Everton I think Rooney will make UTD look very stupid, he is going to his boyhood club again and will play out of his skin) . Utd have brought a couple, we weren't in for either of them.

See a pattern? We can't possibly buy everyone and we have already improved one weakness which was a reliance on Mane so sit back and enjoy the madness,

How are we getting left behind?
Has anyone signed the people we are looking at?
Have any left backs been signed?

Just because other clubs sign players that we don't want and haven't looked doesn't mean we are getting left behind.

The only player Everton have signed who I believe would be a starter at Liverpool is Pickford, maybe Keane.
I have been impressed with what they've done this window but I'm far from envious.

Lukaku is a sideways step anyway. They are replacing Ibra, who was amazing last year, for a guy who may or may not be equally as good. He certainly won't be an improvement on Zlatan, he will be on a par, or worse.

Liverpool has added to its attack with 2 potentially prolific players.

Well you can look to get business done early and be unsuccessful at it without 'going back' on your statement. We succeed with Solanke and Salah, we failed elsewhere.
I hope the players we are now looking at are on a well considered shortlist and that there is some sensible strategy in pĺace. I'm hopeful that we've moved on from signing the likes of, at best a gamble and at worst a disaster waiting to happen (Balotelli) or a player who obviously doesn't fit our system (Benteke)

Looking at Everton's business, Klassen is the only one I would want, he's a decent centre midfielder. Not convinced by Pickford or Keane. And the less said about Rooney the better!

UTD have just begun! Ivan Perisc is an excellent winger!

If you know me, United are looking very ominous and that is very concerning. Given that they're now looking at gazumping Chelsea for Bakayoko, their midfield and defence could be ridiculously strong if they go through with that.
