Are LFC able to compete with clubs like Everton and Leicester in the transfer market? We thought it was only clubs like Man U and Chelsea. Not anymore.

Everton have signed a good player in Klassen, but I'm not really concerned about the rest of their transfer business. And I'm much happier paying £39m for Salah than paying any amount of money, much less the £40m Leicester bid, for Sigurdsson.

You do know it's not actually possible for Liverpool to sign every player available for transfer, right?

Everton and Leicester? We have a much bigger/ better profile and pay more wages than both so yes.

Ask yourself if any of the players that Everton signed were players we wanted or were interested in. The answer is a resounding no. Furthermore I'd be disappointed if we signed Keane or Rooney in any case.

Agree with last post above.
Who would get in our team out of the players Everton have signed? Pickford maybe.
Keane no, klassen no, Sandro Ramirez no.
I think they're making good signings to strengthen their squad and consolidate top 7 status. Signings to break into top 4 though. very debatable.
Made even harder of course when they've sold their main source of goals.
I think we've made 2 good signings to date and would be happy with a lb and cb that are an upgrade on what we have.
That'd be a strong title challenging squad for next season.

Just because the likes of Everton and Leicester seem to active in the window at this moment in time doesn't mean we can't compete with them that's just nonense to say the least. let's be honest, none of those Everton signings would make it into our team, Pickford might scrap a place but it's not a full gone conclusion. Patience is the hardest thing for most of us Liverpool fans but at the end of the day if we done most of our business right at the beginning of the window they'd still be fans complaining at the end of the window when other clubs are buying and we're not. There seems to be no pleasing and it's laughable.

Has to be a wind up or a 9 year old.

Not convinced and never have been by Pickford, for me he's not quite big enough to be a genuinely top class keeper as he gets lost under high balls and crosses.

Agree with you in some aspects Hansens but would the size thing apply to the likes of Casillas/ Reina? . Pickford's distribution is second to none, reflexes very good and shot stopping is very good also. Age is on his side so he has plenty of time on his hands to add a bit of muscle and size.

{Ed025's Note - lets be honest...most of you reds dont have a scooby on whats a decent player or not, to say evertons signings would not get in your side confirms my belief that you dont know your arse from your elbows, all your players are great and and far superior to anyone elses yet you have not challenged in the league for 25 years?..deluded..absolutely bloody deluded..

The way Everton are spending and the way we are spending is completely different. Everton are signing decent enough players to try and push on from last year and possibly a good cup run so the type of players they are buying are easier to buy, similar to our business last season signing players from a relegated side, German lower league side etc. This year is a different beast, we are in for a much higher caliber of player, were wanting players to come straight in and make an impact in the champions league and title challenge, unfortunately these players are going to be few and far between and command a large fee so it's either it's drags on for a while trying to get the best deal or you go in and pay over the odds like United have for Lukaku. I'm sure there is movement going on behind the scenes 24 hours a day at a club like Liverpool in the summer window so everyone needs to chill there bones. I think that come August we will have our team in place to go challenging on all fronts, have patience.

Go on then. apart from Pickford maybe, why don't you outlay any of the others that Everton have signed as to how they would make Liverpool's starting 11!?

{Ed025's Note - keane is better than lovren and krappan, sandro is a natural goalscorer which you dont have and rooney has more medals than your entire squad, not to mention klassen who could be anything..need i go on?..

Keane Unknown, proven goal scorer, sturridge over Sandro anytime, Rooney might have won medal but he is well past his best, nowhere near as influential as coutiniho, need I go on.

{Ed025's Note - keane proved last year that he usurps the chuckle brothers you have at CH, sandro is not a wimp and will not spend two months out with a broken fingernail so in before bone china boy, i really like couts though but rooney would play before firmino because he scores goals...case proven..

Forgot one, Salah could be anything but has been playing well in a better league than klassen,

{Ed025's Note - yeah but failed on his last visit to the prem so major major doubts, as there is with klassen..deuce..
