Not sure what to make of this whole tapping up issue. At times I feel Ed02 is a bit like the unmovable Lee J Cobb character in 12 Angry Men shouting "These are the facts! ", and unwilling to have a proper debate and reach consensus. However, on balance, I feel he is right. Imagine how angry we would be if Zidane made public overtures to Coutinho? It is not on. And as for tapping up kids. yuk. What confuses me, though, is that FSG made it clear in their early days how shocked they were by how football business was done, describing it as like being the Wild West. Rather than hold the high moral ground, it would seem they have gone the other way.

{Ed002's Note - How about if two directors of Barcelona and Neymar met Coutinho in a side room at the Café de La Music in Alagoas to chat about his future and where the club would utlise him? Would the Liverpool fans who think tapping up is acceptable be happy with that?}

Agree with you Ed, but every time I have moved jobs it is because of those kind of secret meetings. You need to know what you are moving to before you pull the trigger. That said, I am not on £200k per week - or ever will be.
