Leipzig definitely playing hard ball as they should to be fair as we would likewise with Coutinho (hopefully) lol. One big problem with this situation is if we keep pursuing Keita through out this window and end up not getting him we'll look like fools because we won't have enough time to look elsewhere with Klopp seemingly wanting a CM. I'd offer £70 million and if that's knocked back then I'd move on swiftly or hope for a transfer request from the man himself.

Depends l4l if Liverpool go straight in with a 70 million bid Leipzig may think they can keep pushing to get more and more out of the club if where that desperate they will think we will pay more than 70 million.

The problem is there are no like to like players of Keita. This lad is a complete package of Offense and defense like a Kante. You either buy a defensive minded player or buy an offensive minded player. Keita is an old school CM and a proper one!
Klopp doesn't play with a stopper, Means We are not buying a DM or a DLP. A CM who could do a lot more than Fabregas / Wantama are rare to find!
Verratti, Modric, Bokayako, Pjnaic, Kroos, None would come at this point.
I for one still think we will sign this fellow, He will be the difference where we finish next season!

Yeah true, the club isn't in a good situation at all with this deal by the looks of it. Leipzig could well string us along like puppets.

70 mil will probably do it. Imagine Keita will develop big time under Klopp and hold if not exceed his transfer fee for you years to come. Hope we get it done.
