Afternoon all.
ED002 I recall you saying we "need to think seriously about whether or not the club just buy for the sake of it (to appease the fans) or has a structured approach to regeneration - where they buy the players they need"
And I have been thinking about it, the way we have not backed down from gvs considering how quickly we usually move on and end up buying our "2nd option" I. e Mane and Salah.

My question is, do you think we might actually know who we want? The options we move on from quite quickly, could be mere smokescreens to hide who we are really after to stop other teams competing with us to sign then whilst we actively try to sign them?
Because both Salah (so far) and Mane are absolutely outstanding in a red shirt and have improved us so much - for "second/ backup options" they are far too good IMO to even be considered as just a backup option.

In regards to Keita we have no smokescreen so are not backing down because he is the number 1 target and is not a smokescreen for an unexpected quality player (which we should move on and look for or wait till next season)
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I think that there is littel doubt about who the club wants - but there will be a thought about alternatives. There are no smokescreens Phil.}
