£40m for Matic. 😅.

We really laughing at £40m for one of the best midfielders in European football with multiple titles when we were willing to pay £75m for an unproven, potentially one season wonder with off field issues and a heart condition?

The signing of Matic just put United in my top 4 next season whereas before I had them down as 6th at best. Herrera, Matic and Pogba is arguably as good as any midfield in Europe. Matic is top class. Chelsea have made a mistake in my opinion because Bakayoko is years away from being at the same level.

Seems odd that mourinho spoke out against matic in his last year at Chelsea and now signs him - I would be wary of buying any player that plays next to Kante.

To my knowledge Fencey, Matic's reputation in Europe was established way before he played alongside Kante. I agree with MK to an extent, United have a very strong midfield when they're all fit. I still have hope that we will sign Keita as he will complete our midfield and is perfectly suited to Klopp's style, although I'm sure we'll remain competitive without him.

Inflated market means inflated prices. 70m for VVD and Keita isn't enough it seems. We all seem to forget that a paying club will only pay what they feel is enough after taking everything into consideration. This is why we need to forget about money, let's just support the players we have now and the players we bring in regardless of the price.
