They rarely take punts on long time proven players unless they're Spanish. He also doesn't fit that Iniesta profile like Phil does.

I don't think they target players like Keita because they're high energy players. Countiho although has a burst of energy occasionally tends to rely on his on ball ability rather than running. That's the same with Veratti so the fact they are more possession based players is probably the reason Barcelona want Coutinho/ Veratti.

Barca will bid for Naby too, but only after he has proven himself with LFC. But Im confident LFC will have been challenging for major honours by then and we can tell Barcelona to do one and disappear.
