'The Decision' is a three minute indie song by post-punk revival Leicestershire band, The Young Knives. It was released as a single from their first album, 'Voices of Animals and Men', which was released in 2006. Although the album peaked at No.21 on the UK charts, 'The Decision' is not one of their best-selling singles, peaking at No.60, while other numbers such as 'Weekends And Bleak Days (Hot Summer) ' enjoyed more success as they reached the heights of the Top 40.

Personally, I think it's one of their more underrated songs, but hey, that's just me.

I agree MK. Taking Salah off was a rotten decision. Would have been better to take off Klavan and put on Gomes as Klavan was seriously struggling.

You think taking off a player who is now massively important for the next 3 games is a bad decision? Baring in mind how much traveling he did? you now want him to play 5 games in a row including more plane travel? For what? To have him run around in a game that was already lost? Take a rest salah son we will need you in the wars to come.

I think klopp not getting a cb was a terrible decision.

My point exactly, Jezza. Had we kept Salah on with all the traveling and game time he had with Egypt (he played 90 mins in both games for Egypt) and he pulls a hamstring, the same people saying it was a terrible decision to take him off or we should have gone for it, would be the same people slamming Klopp for not taking him off to save him as the game was lost.

This is the reason fans are not managers cos they make statements w/ o considering the info the manager has about players' fitness levels during the week or after the int'l break. But the "managers" on here seem to know better.

Game was not lost at 2-0 down. If we are going to throw in the towel at 2-0 down from now on, then i want Klopp gone now. That's embarrassing.

It was a pathetic decision to give up on the game. Some fans paid good money and gave up a good few hours of their weekend to watch that shower of so and so.

As if we need Salah so desperately after him being here for 10 minutes that he has to be taken off at half time for protection. Don't make me laugh. We have Sturridge, Solanke, Chamberlain, Coutinho, Firmino and Woodburn all waiting in the wings (no pun intended) . If those 6 players aren't enough for Klopp to put together an attack capable of beating Burnley and Leicester with or without Salah, then again Klopp needs sacking. That is over £100m of attacking talent based on the prices we paid, let alone what they are worth now.

Salah should've stayed on. Mane can still play against Sevilla as he isn't banned for European matches so it was nothing to do with rest. It was just a negative move to play for damage limitation. I would expect any player this early in the season to play 5 games in a row with ease anyway. Not sure where you plucked 5 from though. Mane is banned for 3 games and one of them is a cup game most likely against Leicesters reserves.

The Mane red was not a terrible decision, even if i think it was more of a yellow, i can see the other side of the argument. The only terrible decision was made by Klopp when he decided to put a finger up to the fans and say "sorry guys, I'm going to have a strop and chuck this one". I like Klopp, but he got this one wrong and he isn't above criticism.

It's a sad day when Liverpool fans are trying to justify LFC playing to lose. Irrespective of circumstance.

Or Bingo, Klopp could be a "manager" and give Salah a day off of training or adjust his training regime, allowing Salah to recover and miss training, instead of resting a player in the middle of a crucial game?

These are professional Athletes. If big Dave the 17 stone Plumber with asthma can play 7 a side on Friday, Saturday league the next day, and then Sunday league with a hangover, I'm sure Salah (bless his heart) can manage 3 games across 8 days.

Let's play along with your little "Salah might have needed resting" hypothetical scenario then. Why switch to a back 5 and put Chamberlain in central midfield? Why not go 4-2-3 with Hendo and Can in midfield, Chamberlain, Sturridge and Firmino up front. Salah and Gini off. Why not at least try and win or even provide a bit of entertainment? It was not fair on the fans who pay these peoples wages and i don't buy your excuse making anyway. IF Salah needs resting, (which is still a made up 'fact' from yourself) that doesn't mean you have to play negative tactics when you have Solanke, Sturridge, Ox and Milner on the bench who can all play attacking positions. He could even have pushed Arnold further forward to play as a winger and put Gomez at right back as Arnold had a bad day defensively.

He had lots of attacking options and he bottled it. If you think that I'm wrong, that's fine. But quit with the "i played 15 minutes for Halifax town so i think like a manager unlike these peasants". It's laughable. I want Liverpool to at least try and win every game and you are happy to roll over and play dead in some games.

Maybe in yours and Klopps head, it will be okay if we beat Sevilla 6-0. That won't change the fact that we gifted Man City victory and fell to our worst defeat under Klopp due to how badly he got it wrong. And your OPINION that playing for the win would've resulted in us losing by more than 5-0 is just that, an opinion. Plenty of 10 man teams have gone for it and turned a game around. Chelsea made the score line respectable against Burnley, and City took draw from Everton in the 98th minute. We played for damage limitation and still got an butt whooping!

MK, so now you are comparing Burnley's attacking talent to that of City? You are really reaching with this pathetic argument, mate. The only reason Burnley only scored 3 (and they could have score 5 if you actually saw the game) was cos they are a shadow of City's attacking talent. Had it been City and Chelsea went for it like that, they would have conceded in near the double digits with the way they vary their attack and the gaps that would be there to feed on. Everton had a man up and still parked the bus and allowed City to come on to them hence, they scored. Everton did nothing but bottle that game and Ed25 is livid about it till this day about is as that game was there to be one but the great Koeman choked, big time.

Again, you just use random examples to support your point w/ o looking at the context of these games and of the opposition and circumstances. N BTW, did you want Rafa gone when he would do the same thing that you accuse Klopp for doing? If the answer is no then what does that make you, then?

I am no manager and don't claim to be one. If you are unable to put yourself in someone else's position to see what he or she may have been thinking, that is your problem, not mine.

P/ S: I played amateur footie in France for 3 seasons, not with Halifax.

The quality of the attack is irrelevant. Burnley were 3-0 up and had an extra man and Chelsea dug deep to try and give their fans something worth cheering. Liverpool rolled over to have their tummy tickled. What does it matter who the opposition is? You should want to win every game surely? Do you think Shankley or Paisley would've let that happen?

I did want Rafa gone anyway. If he had played to win every game he would've won a league title with the players he had.

You could argue that Everton sat back to defend because City made them panic by attacking. Maybe City would've tried to protect what they had if we had attacked? By sitting off them we just invited pressure onto a defence which cannot defend. That was suicide.

I can see why Klopp has done it, i just don't agree with it and think he has thrown in the towel after being handed a ready made excuse.

I'm not saying you are wrong mate. I'm just saying i disagree.
