I commented a few days ago you need a proper out and out class number 9, such as lewandowski, who seems to be upsetting a few, so could see move on shortly. Can't remember which poster but someone shot me down saying I've never watched Firmino.

I think firmino is a great player, but I stand by my thoughts on you needed a top class 9. Sturridge is done. You miss so many chances, surely a top class striker who would guarentee 30 goals is needed. Firmino won't score anywhere near that. And yes I know he creates.

stand you talk more sense then many here. we do need a proper #9 who can score 20+ goals a season. now my Lfc friend here will say we have sturridge, i don't see him as one who can even be fit or start for 20 games in Prem. Firminio should play #10 never on the wings where he is wasted.

Stand I agree. That's why I chose harry kane as the one premiership player I would have in my team if I could. I think sturridge deserves a decent chance however and although he didn't score today I was pleased to see him last the full ninety. He has had limited chances so far and already netted a couple. Firmino is fantastic and I see his true position as a number 10. I think Danny will score plenty if given the chance bur our system is geared toward spreading the goals between four five players. I prefer this as we are not reliant on one player. Take out lukaku kane Sanches and you have to ask "where are the goals coming from? "

Great? I wouldn't go that far Stand. He's a decent player though Yes. Not sure why Lewandowski would leave BM to join Liverpool. If he was available there would be no shortage of admirers. Real Madrid being one of them. I think someone like Morata would have fit nicely in the Liverpool set up.

We can't defend so we concede every game ( I had a bet with Ed025 that we will concede against Burnley ) you can't blame attackers for not scoring 4 and 5 every game! That's a dumb logic!

Firmino is a very good false 9 but then needs dangerous forwards with space to get in behind, and midfielders able to score and make dangerous runs.

Unfortunately it's also clear when we try move him wide to cover a missing winger, Sturridge is not at the level he used to be and I don't think moving Firmino wide and playing Sturridge upfront works - they play too similar a game with both dropping deep.

Would rather have seen Solanke start upfront who provides a real presence in the box all the time or started Firmino upfront and the Ox out wide.

Superred, I think Sturridge is a quality player, and if he gets a run in the side there's no doubt about it he will score plenty. The problem is we all know it's just a matter of when not if, injury strikes again. You can't rely on that. I'd drop firmino into number 10 and sign a top number 9.

Syd, morata would of done well for Liverpool I agree. Definatly a position I think they lack in, apart from the obvious back 5.

Harry, nobody is denying the problems with your back 5. I couldn't agree more. But when your having 30 odd shots you really should be scoring more than one. It was united problem all season last year. We ended up drawing about 13 games in the league and it cost us top 4. Luckily Jose identified that and Lukaku was signed. He basically guarentes 30 a season. Have to ask why was OX signed? Big sum of money and really isn't a top player. Strange one for me that.

Bobby was moved out wide today to accommodate Sturridge. Yes he lacks goals but Bibby is one hell of a player both technically and work rate.

£35m for a very ordinary player when we're screaming out for a top quality centre back is negligence personified. Sturridge looks finished to me. His movement is not good any more and it's clear that injury has taken its toll.

To get the best out of our forward we need to line up 442. That way Milner needn't of started today. Can and Hendo can get the understanding they need in that cm position. We have the perfect wingers to play this formation in mane salah and ox. More chances for dom too. Then there is cout's lallana wijnaldum. With this many cms he has to play three there.

You put the inventiveness of, say, Aguero ( see his 3rd goal today) at the sharp end of 30+ chances, you're going to win the game.

Did we need a proper no. 9 when we have scored goals for fun since Klopp arrived or when we should have put 8 past Arsenal? Nonsense, again. We already had a no. 9. His name was Benteke and he was a disaster and still is at CP as he is lazy as hell. Now, that we are not as clinical as we would like, the "specialists" are out in force again. Give it a rest. We are top 5 in goals scored since Klopp arrived and had we been more clinical in the CL and made better decisions today, this would have not been an issue. Change the record, guys. It's getting boring.
