Apart from our widely publicised defensive frailties we also don't present much of a threat from corner kicks.
Against Burnley we had 12 corners and couldn't muster one header on target.
They had 2 corners and as usual we looked particularly vulnerable. Mee almost scored from both.
Ed do u think that our poor offensive record from corners stems from the training ground or just poor execution during matches.

We never score from corners. I don't know why we keep chipping balls into the area when we could play it short and work something that way. I think our cbs must be soft. Big enough lads but none of em look the hard man.

Our former kicks have been awful for years mate.

I think they are linked but for a reason you've not touched on. We don't really have a good corner taker. The best is an 18 year old right back!

Due to that lack of dangerous set piece specialist, i think our defenders probably look great at defending them in training. Klopp probably thinks he has it nailed whilst they are heading away Milner and Henderson deliveries for fun!

Then they get into a game and face a corner with a bit of quality and the defenders are all looking around at each other like "what is going on, in training it never beats the first man! "

It's just my theory, but i don't see how you can train to defend decent corners if nobody in your own team can put a good corner in consistently.

Maybe we need to get Gerrard up to the first team once a week just to swing a few corners in for Matip and Mignolet to panic at 😂.

it’s because our players, cbs especially, are major softarses who don’t like any physical contact and can’t handle it.

Good point MK. Just gave me a different perspective on this. You are right, really!, how do they prepare if there is no one to present these situations in training.

According to elite posters, it could be coached, but how many years would it take? No idea Boss!
