Whatever you say about Mourinhos sides there are successful. Sometimes they play very attractive football but often they are pretty dour. So my question is, would you be happy Liverpool playing like that if it meant us winning the league?

DO you think UTD are going to win the league?

No you pay the money to be entertained.

You can still win the league playing attractive football though.
just think of all his teams fans paying so much money to watch proper boring football, regardless of if we win the league or not we at least watch the most entertaining football in England.

NOPE! Did you watch them last season? They were so dire that Mou had to make stuff up and blame the refs, the PL, Luke Shaw, Rashford, Martial, etc. for his dire showing in the PL and had it not been for them playing Ajax's academy in the EL final, they would be playing Apoel-whatever in the EL right now.

Also, They were exposed at Stoke and Everton played them off the park for large spells and had they had even Origi up top playing next to Roo, they would have won cos Utd was that dire and Everton don't have a striker. It's still early and we shall see whether Mou will start blaming Luke Shaw again when things start getting heated, as he blamed Hughes for telling him to bug off, as the reason he could not beat Stoke. Next question, pls.

We played quite defencively under rafa and won the european cup and I was over the moon of course. Fans like results but it's much much more enjoyable watching a klopp team in full flight as opposed to a Jose team. I wouldn't like Jose at Liverpool though. Too much ego, from what we see of him, I don't like the guy. There are managers I like, Eddie howe for example even the Swansea guy. Likable, football playing managers. I think they will both have big futures. Especially howe.

Personally no. I understand those who would, but United today were just terrible to watch. Sport at its most basic is entertainment, and we Liverpool fans are blessed to have had such entertaining football to watch over the years.

Mourinho always has the knack of going into self destruct mode. It has happened at every club he has managed since leaving Porto.

The season is far from over and yes UTD are looking the part but they are yet to face any of the big guns yet (sorry ED025) and every team will have a dip.

The mans teams basically play defensive counter attacking football but with top players. Andre Silva at Hull basically. if he couldn't buy the absolute top players he'd get nowhere near a league. Will struggle for top 4 this season.

Not won the league over 26 years, I would take any kind of formula to win the league! No one remembers how you played, history only remembers winners not even runners up!

He is just a Tony Pulis or Sean Dyche with a billion pounds to blow on top players. Of course, you will be successful cos talented players are able to implement your vision better. He tried this at Real and tho they won a La Ligand and Copa, he was still getting his arse handed to him by Pep's brilliant Barcelona team in La liga and in the CL and eventually, got the sack. I wonder why?

Same thing against Klopp. Mou has more money to spend YET Klopp's style (on a significantly lower budget) has destroyed Mou over and over again hence why his head to head record vs Mou reads ONE defeat in 7 games (3 wins and 3 draws for Klopp) . I wonder why? They also had the weakest schedule of all the top 7 teams in the PL this season so they are winning the games they are supposed to.

We shall see if they win the PL or if Mou will blame Luke Shaw for all his failures in the PL like he did last season cos we all know that happened when they knew they could no longer catch us on our way to beating them comfortably to the CL places.

Mourinho at Utd is an accident waiting to happen. The man is a complete cretin and the way his teams play mirror his own personality. Boring, niggly, negative, dishonest, cowardly. The fans will turn on him and he will turn on the players. It's just what he does. The poke in the eye at Real tells you all you need to know about him.

I think those who say they'd rather play good football and win F-all are lying to yourselves be and are being bitter we're noir winning anything on the regular yet you're happy with that? Yes playing good football and winning things is the ideal but quite frankly at times we aren't doing either.

I think its a different Mourinho now to last season,

Last year he was trying to stamp his authority on the club,

Klopp did it with Sahko.

Mourinho blamed certain players to deflect the poor results from himself in the league while buying time in the cups.

He seems a lot more settled and secure this season, and knows he done way better than the previous managers,
He's probably realised that he is at the last of the giant clubs that will buy him the quality to succeed.

The rule change for the winner of the Europa league to go into the group stages of the champs league was a huge boost to his credibility.

Haha I read the first line of a post and know it's BingoRed. Literally talks that much rubbish in every post. Every single of of you would take 38 1-0's to win this league. Don't lie to yourself. Your all banging on about the defence after every game, if it's just entertainment your after we're seeing lots of that with your defending. Belittiling a manager who's won the CL with Porto and Inter, won league and Cup titles all over Europe, it's ridiculous.

I can kind of understand why you think like that Stand-United, but I disagree with you. I have to stay up until very late most times I watch Liverpool. I don't want to see them win 1-0 and play defensively every week for them to win the Premier League at the end of the season. I watch them to be entertained and winning anything is a bonus. The memories I keep are of the results and the way they were played.

I think Mourinho is a very good manager but I do not like his style of play at all. If Liverpool are going to wait so many years for the title and then they win it by winning every match 1-0 I personally am not sure it would have been worth the wait, but I'm sure there will be lots of people who will disagree with that.

If you are happy with entertainment, Y worry about the defense? Why bother on the results? Regardless of any results we play one of the best attacking Footie.

21.) 18 Sep 2017
18 Sep 2017 07:21:44
So Harry, if you only worry about results then why watch the games, just check the scores? It is the same counter argument. Neither side of the argument needs to be the extreme. For example, i enjoyed the football under Evans more than Rafa or Houllier but i was happy with trophies under the later two.

I predicted Man United to finish 2nd behind Chelsea again and city to round out the top 3. But on evidence so far, how can people not say that Man Utd are legit title challengers?

They have bought very well. people criticized Lukaku but he scores goals and fits their system perfectly. many liverpool fans got caught up in lazy parochial assessments of Lukaku and totally missed that he is a big, strong and fast body that is essentially a younger version of Ibrahimovic. I can see Lukaku scoring 25+ goals this season.

elsewhere they have shored up their midfield, and we know with Mourinho that they will be solid defensively.
