Hi Ed01,
I see that you're looking at the idea of opening up a new list for villains of the game.
Can I suggest El Hadji Diouf and Joey Barton?
Would they meet the criteria?
Cheers.
{Ed001's Note - they would be right near the top of the list mate.}

I'm actually in the middle of doing an article on Craig Bellamy. But it's about how he turned from a villain to a hero with his work in Africa and the change in his attitude in later years of his career.

That list goes on for a while.
Costa
Balotelli
Keane
Vidal
Gattusso
Suarez
To name a few.

What about Johnson? Isn’t he still doing time.

You could add Ben Thatcher to that list.

I don't think it's fair to put Balotelli in as a villain along with the likes of Barton and Suarez, Noshbag.

Which Keane? Roy or Robbie?
Is it Onfield villains Ed?
Is John Terry a villain for his off field behavior, and Ryan Giggs too?
What about Michael Owen and his bullying of the young players and then even Gerrard for similar.
{Ed001's Note - either or mate, on or off.}

Ok Ed this could make really interesting reading, soap time on the Liverpool rumors site, awesome.
{Ed001's Note - might be difficult to research though!}

I would not put Balotelli in the villain category, just a big childish toolbag living in an adult's body.
