Hello Ed's, If this gets posted

After 3 years of " We don't need a DM " and We are good enough to revolutionize football with " Midfield press ", " Double pivot ", " One pressing one dropping ", "2 BVB ". I can see some or even most now realizing the need of a holding midfielder. I am happy!
Things change quickly on this site as well their opinions!

Not every team needs one to be fair. Chelsea don't play with one. Kante, Drinkwater and Bakayoko were all playing in box to box roles on Saturday. The difference was that Kante and Drinkwater have an excellent understanding with each other, whereas our midfielders don't.

However, we do need a DM because we have a lack of intelligent players, and we commit so many players forward that we either need to switch to 3 centre backs or sign a DM. You can't play 2 defenders, 6 attackers and 2 wing backs. It just doesn't work. We need a player to protect our centre backs when everyone else pushes up high. Shame we sold him to Lazio 😑.

by the definition of your post harry. if it has taken 3 years for people to agree on the DM issue, there is nothing quick about that.

MK, also a shame with all the games our midfielders have played together, all the training sessions they’ve had together and a great manager that they still can’t cover for each other. It’s beyond being not intelligent, it’s bordering on them being complete and utter idiots really.

Mk Scouser, not every team needs a CDM like Harry thinks. But every team does need midfielders that know how to tackle and don't let opposition players run past them like they are not even there. We could do with a nasty and ruthless streak in midfield in addition to Keita. GIni and Hendo can be squad players or be sold on to give younger players like Grujic and Woodburn a chance.

i agree with Harry, harry got slaughterd for suggesting we should have a Dm in the team. now everyone has come to realize that a Dm is a neccessity. the same thing happend when some of us suggested that we should have a very good #9 and we were slaughtered here as Strudige was the answer for it. I hope for Lfc sake Kloop reliazes these things and try to keep things simple instead of having those theory which works only on paper.

People haven't been claiming we don't need defensive midfielders or at least more intelligent/ defensive minded ones. What we have said is that Klopp obviously doesn't like them or want to use them and that does not seem to have changed so I don't know why you are declaring that it has.

Harry is right on this subject. Good point in my opinion. I am sure if we had a player similar to edd 1 surgestion Medal we would be doing a whole lot better.

The difference is Kante is world class at what he does. It doesn't always need a DM it just requires real quality.

the way we are set up, our back four are so vunerable, and Migs is then under pressure .
