Sorry in advance Eds -- but I just want to address something quickly.
I've seen people giving Lallana stick for his performance tonight -- which I find ridiculous.
He worked his tail off to get back into a position to play again this season, let alone start.
He is going to need games.
A derby match prob isn't ideal for first start, but the lad needs time to find form.

So again, apologies for this post -- just a little upset at the plastic fans feeling the need to slag a player coming off a 4-month hiatus.

{Ed025's Note - rusty but did ok for me OC..

Spot on, Ed. I thought he showed flashes of brilliance and good touch and skill to draw the penalty. He is clearly rusty and lacks full fitness. I thought he was fine, as well.

i thought he was pretty decent tonight, lacking sharpness but was pretty tidy on the ball and full of running as usual both on and off the ball. great to have him back and look forward to seeing him at his best soon.

Won the penalty. Did look rusty AF, but did put a shift in.

OC, can’t agree with you more la, personally I don’t think Klopp should have thrown him into such a big game from the off, but I tell you what he did as good as everyone else out there tonight, just ran out of steam which you would expect after not playing since last May. Adam will be like a new top signing in a couple of weeks la. Is rite.

Yeah rusty and the fact he was playing alongside Can and Milner only exacerbated things, he will be an important player for us in this second half of the season once he finds his feet again.

No idea why people think because a player is back in the team (after a long injury) it means they will be running on all cylinders straight away, how long did it take Hendo to run his rust off from his injury earlier last year? Lallana was out for round about the same amount of time iirc.
