Not blaming FSG/ Klopp/ Anyone, but I wish we'd signed Coutinho's replacement before selling him.
I feel it may be a little bit difficult now to sign him, with everyone assuming there's loads of cash to spend and asking "unreasonable" prices for their players.
Just throw money at Schalke for Meyer/ Goretzka. Those would be my ideal replacement.

Meyer, Goretzka might be Summer targets. You forget that the players are letting their contracts run down so they can negotiate deals themselves. It doesn't matter what we offer Shalke, the player can still choose to see out his contract and claim a bigger signing on bonus.

Disappointing thing is the club as known the Couts situation for quite a while. A replacement should have already been sourced.

We knew months ago we were getting a big wad of cash for Coutinho, why do you think any selling clubs wouldn't know that? They were putting a premium on any player, regardless of it being before or after the Coutinho sale.

And who would have sold us that replacement in Jan, Reusch knowing fully well that clubs do not set up their system to sell their best player in Jan (which is what it would take to get a decent replacement for Cou) esp. in a WC year?
