Morning Eds

Done to death is a reply I'm half expecting but anyway. assuming that keeping your best players gives you a better chance of success how do you view Coutihno going mid-season? I understand that an keeping an unhappy player even if one of your better players may be a detriment to the team but if Liverpool do not finish top 4 then a lot of fingers will be pointed at the owners and all those involved in the decision to sell. I understand players come and go and that a lot of thought will have gone into this but the impact of failing to secure that top 4 place - if it happens - would have massive potential ramifications not just to the owners' pockets but also to other players at the club who might then wish to move on. Your views?

{Ed001's Note - we have been better without him in the team this season, so I don't really see a problem letting him go when he is being disruptive. It is a team game and you have a better chance of success with a team playing for each other than you have with a bunch of individuals.}

The Tottenham loss comes to mind. Never seen him play that badly in our shirt like in that game. I knew something was not right then.

Do you really believe we have been better off without him, yes i've seen the stats, but you aren't always going to scrape results, in my opinion without him there we seriously lack the creativity and the chance of a goal out of nothing, I have a strong feeling if we don't replace him with the quality we need in our midfield, we can forget about top 4! In all seriousness do you think top 4 is a possibility without him or a quality replacement from now till the summer?

{Ed001's Note - but we also have a lot more workrate and defensive solidity without him. Swings and roundabouts.}

Couldn't agree more kimos, losing out on a cl position would be massive hit financially. They reckon 40-50m, and with roughly only 105m up front in the coutinho deal that'll start to look very small indeed, if no one is brought in then we're only an injury to Salah or firmino away from disaster, Liverpool never fail to astound me,

Disaster? A bit overly dramatic. We lost Mane for a while last season and suffered, but still qualified for the CL. And we're better equipped this season. Injuries are an opportunity for players to come in and stake a claim, catch the manager's eye.
