My friend came home from England. His neighbour is a cousin of one of the ground staff. He overheard Klopp and team discussing how Firminio needs to play behind a striker, especially someone not yet attuned to how Liverpool play. From what he could gather, the striker is European.

With Sturridge out of favour and Ings still recovering I can see Klopp potentially wanting a top striker, offering the option for Firmino to play more of a no.10 role. It would be the best option IMO if we manage to get someone really special upfront as our midfield is a little lacking in goals at the moment.

If klopp honestly wanted to replace firmino with a striker and move bobby back, he would have done it already.

Spot on, AW. Obviously, many on here they know know better than Klopp who made Bobbie the beast he is today. Mind-boggling.

No klopp wouldn't have AW. Weve always been oversaturated with midfielders. Moving firmino back would have made the problem worse plus we didn't exactly have a good enough striker to replace his qualities. Now that we are a world class midfielder down, firmino can slot into that position and the focus can be getting a proper striker to take this team to an even greater level.
