I'm a massive fan of Joe Gomez, but it's a bit worrying to see a lot of bad habits and mistakes in his game that have led to us conceding goals.

Young player, out of position, performing at the level he does. There is no reason to worry there at all, literally none.

He is a young defender who will make the odd mistake, it is important that he learns from them over time and playing at the top level will help him. Being dropped for one mistake would destroy the poor lad.

I'm not seeing "a lot" of bad habits.

I see one major flaw to his game, and that is that he misjudges the flight of balls over his head. That is something that can be learned though. Aside from that, what other bad habits has he got? 🤔 he's a 20 year old centre back who just contributed massively to a vital victory over one of the best attacks in Europe. I'm not concerned about him one bit. In fact, i reckon in 18 months time he'll be first choice centre back for Liverpool and England. Hold me to it!

What do you define as Bad habits. I see him covering a lot of space due to the lack of pace from the central defence. I thought he was unlucky with mis judging the ball in the air due to the wind. I am a huge Joe fan he excites me and he is so young. I actually think he is better on the ball than stones.

There could be a chance of a new RB coming in the summer which must be the case as Gomez is a CB and needs to play there!

He’s missed three key crosses to the back post or over his head so far as I’m aware, something he needs to work on but hardly a crisis.

His overall defending has been outstanding and I’m sure its at least partly because he’s learning at FB. At CB he doesn’t have to worry about that wide ball into acres of space, and it’s rare that he’d have to worry about someone sneaking in back post without someone behind him to give him a shout.

He’ll learn and until then I’ll happily accept him as one of our best defenders that makes the odd mistake while he matures.

id be more concerned if we don't have anyone in the training grounds pointing out his mistakes for him to learn from.

i have no answer to it, but i just feel abit more confident that our coaching staff are doing it, as i have seen improvements in our players, i mean apart from mignolet.

Altho you'd hope any pro learns in the same aeason, or the next game. In reality it takes longer especially for younger players. Guys like milnet who still at hiss age go diving 100mph to press only to get beaten by a slight turn of the hips, just grates me to pieces!

MK not aware of where the player he is making is. They drift off him too easily.

Future liverpool and England captain. I said this to all my mates last year and got slaughtered. still believe he will. World class potential.

Gomez has a tendency to misjudge the flight of balls and go ball-watching or get caught under it. He really needs to improve his reading of the ball.

Other than that, he's been pretty solid and reliable in defence.
