Read through the karius v mignolet posts below and some good stats and arguments there. For me though it comes down to.

Mignolet has had 7876543 games for us (I know seems a lot) and hasn't improved one iota! Nor do I think I've seen him go one game without mishitting a kick for a throw in (personal hate of mine) . Either way my point is he's had his chance.

So to the people supporting karius of which I'm one. it is more that at least he has potential to improve. He had one run lost all confidence and should this season (unbeaten and involved in a couple 7-0s ) . So hopefully now he can kick on and then we either get a keeper in the summer or don't.

Is it the end of the world? No! I genuinely believe we'd make top 4 with me in net til the end of the season so I don't think it's the biggest issue in the world.

100% agree all this malarky that Karius is 10x worse than Mignolet etc is rubbish!

yes he has had his issues but now he is No1 we support him for these 6 months. imagine if instead of any boo's and abuse hurled at him, he had his name sung at Anfield show him the support he deserves.

Robertson recently came out and said that the feeling of hearing his name being sung gave him goosebumps, imagine the adrenaline and positive impact this is having on his game!

he may not be David de Gea, but he is our Karius and he is our goalkeeper, our No1.so let's give him the bloody support he needs give him the confidence to show how good a keeper he really can be!

VIVA LORIS KARIUS!

{Ed025's Note - he needs a clean sheet SR, if he got that and made a couple of decent saves and dealt well with the odd cross then im sure the crowd would get behind him mate..

I agree he needs a clean sheet in both aspects! people are wanting him to falter so they have something to moan about.

As we all agree the issue he has is that most of the games he has played he has been a spectator so hasn't really been able to show him self.

I am judging him from now until the end of the season.

It may be unlikely but i think for all parties it is best that Mignolet goes this window. he needs a clean sheet as well, can't fault the guy just unfortunately not got the level of quality we need to move to the next level.

Over 7million games how long has he been here?
Do you mean minutes?

We should really get behind karius. Just to grab his arms and make him grab the ball.

The problem with both keepers is that i can't remember either of them keeping us in a game with top saves that might earn us 3 points or even a draw. I don't think either of them come for crosses that well, don't command their area or speak to their defence that much. So yes, maybe it is time for Karius to have another go, he couldn't do much worse, right? Yet Karius has a long way to go before he is "that" keeper we really need. In my opinion he won't be good enough, he just doesn't look that confident to me in any shape or form.

Agreed Irish. It seems only time we don't concede from a clear chance for the opposition is when they miss. That may or may not be down to the keepers, depending on the situation, but I have little confidence if someone has a clear shot regardless.

I hope to goodness Karius comes good with a run of games. We could do with not having to spend a hefty chunk on a keeper. I can't see that not happening though and if we do manage to get a top player between the sticks, it could make a vital difference next season.
