With Couts and Studg gone and VVD the only incoming player this window do u think that there is any possibility of the likes of Brewster when fit again or any other youth or U23 player in getting into the 1st team squad and possibly some actual game time.
Cheers.

Good post actually mate because I'd much rather us play some of our youngsters then go and panic buy a player today (which i don't think will happen, thankfully) - some are talking like our squad is thin because we have got rid of 2 players, 1 who never played lol we're fine, but I would like to see much more of some of these youngsters, we have some potentially top quality young lads just waiting for their chances.

Brewster is out for 4 months with ankle ligament damage, Ejaria looks likely to go on loan to Sunderland, Ojo is on loan at Fulham, Kent is on loan at Bristol City, Whelan is on loan at Yeovil, Virtue is on loan at Notts County etc. Wilson will probably leave in the near future.

I think the main players to keep an eye on this season are Solanke, Arnold and Woodburn. They should all get chances over the next 15-20 games. I don't see anyone else jumping up with us out of both cups and into the business end of the PL and CL.

Millar, Lewis, Jones, Tagseth, Dhanda and Adekanye are all seen as top prospects but they're all still u19's and more likely to get chances in the coming seasons. Lewis is the closest of the bunch in my opinion.

Agree MK - we have three talented youngsters desperate for game time in Solanke, Woodburn and TAA. Hopefully they get their chance.

While everyone has their pet favourites (Wilson, Ojo etc. ), the rest of the youngsters should be looking to get regular game time on loan or continuing their growth in u23s. There’s limited benefit in trying to fit more than the above 3 into the first team squad as it just mean no-one will get enough consistency or game time to prove themselves if you spread it around too much.

Didn't realise the severity of Brewster's ankle MK well he's obviously gone for the rest of the year pity as a real rough diamond and was flying this year. I'm extremely surprised that woodburn hasn't got as much game time as TAA and Solanke really thought he'd suit our style of play with his pace has bulked up too so not the little boy anymore even though he still is a nipper at 18 .

Yeah it was a bad one Zippy.

Masterson, Grabara and the new lad Gallacher are also going to be training regularly with the first team, but i doubt they'll make their debut's this year.

Brewster won't be back for a while mate. Suffered a serious ankle injury i think. For now, all eyes will be on Solanke, TAA and Woodburn as they already have a taste of first team action and will be needed to step in case of injuries and squad rotation. Fingers crossed all of them pass with flying colours (coz we need them to) .

Woodburn for me should be coming on for mane, solanke is a good option from the bench, and despite his recent poor performances TAA has shown great promise bearing in mind he is unlikely to be playing right back all of his career, what TAA and Gomez are getting is valuable experience which benefits them and benefits us as well, these lads need to be given a chance that's the only way we will find out if they are good enough.
