I see that posts saying that no one worry about losing salah.

Salah to me is the best player in EPL, I predicted this earlier.
More than individual ability it is the hunger he has shown to win and score made him different and got us 3rd position.

suarez days. I see the same work rate and hunger to win things compared to other players.

Obviously you cannot keep these kind of players, if we are not winning.

I will be more worried about losing him than any other individual.

Coutinho was not a loss to me, because he had individual ability for sure, does he has same intensity and winning mentality, I would say no.

{Ed001's Note - I agree with you, losing Salah would be a huge body blow.}

One thing is for sure, the club and Klopp will do everything possible to make sure Salah stays on for next season.

We just got to hope that LFC can put in a serious title challenge next season otherwise we will probably lose Firmino too.

Wouldn't worry.

This is what you all need to do.

Just put and 2 to 3 year life span on players joining. Ignore contracts and how loyal they say they are and accept we are not a finishing club for the foreseeable future.

It will make life more tolerable haha.

More like a kick in the balls Ed.

Whats the answer ed1? Triple his wage!?

{Ed001's Note - no, it is not about money.}

If we have to give Salah and Firmino Sanchez-like wages, DO IT.

Decent debate on radio earlier saying when Barcelona and Real come knocking and want a player then players do no turn them down (some clubs may for a short period) . They mentioned the fact that even Ronaldo at the time was winning leagues and CL medals and could have demanded more wages from Utd but still chose to leave for Real. As much as I love Salah I'm a realist and know if they are serious about him and pay enough he will be gone.

Ed001 has got it spot on. Salah has proven worthy to go play at any club he wishes to.

Wherever Salah decides to go if he decides to go, money will not be an issue as he will be earning enough of that.

Salah wants to play for silverware and let's face it, the chance of playing for Madrid, he will achieve that.

We always seem to be thinking and fearing for the worst. Ofcourse all players leave eventually, some because they want to leave and others because the club no longer wants them. Players even leave Barcelona if the price is paid.
Salah will stay next season, unless we get a huge bid too good to turn down. Klopp has shown with coutinho that he will stand firm especially this early into salah’s Liverpool career.

IF he does leave, so what, why all the moaning and guessing will he won’t he. Enjoy every player while we have him, . the club will buy more and keep going, klopp is the right manager and has made us a team and I trust in his ability to get the right players to move us forward.

If salah leaves will our support follow him? No, we support a club.

He has only done it for one season. Last season it was Mane.
When he’s been doing this for a few seasons, then it becomes “massive”.

I agree that’s he’s playing brilliantly and his work rate is key - his loss would be bigger than coutinho right now. I hope Mane comes back into form soon and we’d have the best front 3 in League, maybe even Europe barring Barcelona.

You can’t lose someone like Salah without having an impact, you can only hope you’re lucky enough to replace him without doing too badly, and every new signing is a risk, no matter how good.

Max can I ask how old you are, because you seem very naive. They'll do everything in there power in the same way they did with couthinho you mean, also money won't be a problem with salah? £120k a week or 300 a week at Madrid with guaranteed trophys, yes of course he's staying for the next 10 years.

Ed1, reality then for us that we will lose these guys to this big boys? Is there a legit solution not money related to keeping our stars? Buy more stars to compliment? costs more money mind.!

{Ed001's Note - there is no real answer bar becoming dominant in Europe in the long term.}

You think he will be gone ed in the Summer mate?

{Ed001's Note - no.}

He may still end up with a Champions League medal this year - the season's not done and dusted on all fronts yet guys!

Unfortunately Eds1 how do we become dominant in Europe if we keep selling are best players. I don't see either of the Manchester clubs doing that and please don't raise the ronaldo sale as that was a one off.

{Ed001's Note - they would have sold De Gea as well, so it is not a one off. The key is to build a team, rather than just buying good individuals.}

16.) 07 Feb 2018
07 Feb 2018 08:00:00
Ed 001, wasn’t the De Gea situation ( to Real a Madrid ) a paper work glitch at the last minute?

They’ve managed to keep him though to be fair, think they offered him a big salary increase.

{Ed001's Note - yes, sort of a glitch, more a fans problem.}

Of course it is a worry but we have to drop this mentality. Ever since Saurez and the sterling we have this mentality that whenever liverpool have a really good player, we are always going to lose them. I hope salah falls in love with Liverpool. This is his best season ever, maybe that's because of how klopp plays him and the way the boys around him play. He is perfect for this team. He is at his best on the counter, rather than games when we dominate. He may not be as successful at real.

We are a L I V E R P DOUBLE L Liverpool fc! One of the European elite teams. We are football Royalty. Bobby is going nowhere.

Ed1, forgive me if I've missed the point here. If it not to do with mobey, How can we get ourselves to be dominant in europe?

{Ed001's Note - by making the sole focus of the club about on pitch dominance, stop buying players for the youth teams in a slight hope they might make it, develop our own and only buy for the first team. Don't try and follow Chelsea, like everyone seems to want to, as their system does not work. Everything should be focused solely on getting the best 11 players on the pitch every week.}
