I had the great honour and pleasure of having a yarn and a beer with LFC and Aussie legend Craig Johnston on Saturday night. I must say, the man is a top bloke - he chatted, posed for photos, signed autographs etc. He engaged with the kids so well, and was such a positive and fun person to be around. The best part is that none of it was planned or expected. He just happened to be in the box next to mine at the local A-League game in Newcastle here in Australia! Made our night. Didn't really discuss LFC with him, just football in general. So no info to share, just an experience me, my boys and my mate will never forget.

I was named after him, watched a documentary on him and he seems a top bloke and was a top pro. In his own words he had little talent (harsh on himself) but his dedication got him to the top.

Briefly met him outside a night club (CocoMangas? I seem to recall), about 20 years ago when I was travelling in Oz, in Byron Bay. We only exchanged a few sentences but I mentioned it for years, lol.
