What a great gesture from Robbo. It's always nice to hear stuff like this. Cheers Ed.

Thanks ed, i never read the rags so its great to have some of the news that matter to read. Like About Salah yesterday and Robertson today, touching stories! Thanks for you effort and time.

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate. Glad you enjoy and they are good to read as a Liverpool fan. We are getting a bunch together who actually care, rather than the usual divs who only care about their hair cut.}

Nice one ed, can you or 002 explain why Wolves aren't in breach of any rules please? It does seem mightily corrupt to think that Jorge Mendes can essentially 'put' players at Wolves with obvious financial gain to himself and the football club and yet it's not against the 'spirit of the game' or something. With Mendes being a recruiter and having control of the players, it at least seems like a conflict of interest. Or, are there just no rules in place for this kind of situation?

{Ed001's Note - what laws of the game would it be in breach of? The only potential problem is third party ownership. Other than that they are only doing what a lot of managers have done for years. Even as recently as Mark Warburton who almost entirely signs only players from his daughter's agency. Fat Scam and Fergie would force youth team players to sign for their son's agencies or never get a shot. What Wolves are doing is not as bad as people seem to think.}

Good man Robbo. I'd like the left backs shirt!

I love that Robertson keeps proving my initial thoughts on him wrong every single week. I hope he continues to throw it in my face for years to come.

You don't always have to be right people. Sometimes its great to be wrong.

Don't know ed, that's why I asked but thank you for your answer. It seems what they are doing is too good to be true in who they can recruit and from where, but if they have managed to negotiate themselves a situation that gives them an extra advantage - and it's all above board, then who am I to argue?

It makes you wonder why more teams don't do it though. Maybe Scunthorpe should contact Mino Raiola or something. I am 99.99999% sure he'd be well up for it.

I do enjoy you're daily round up, ed. it's like reading a personalised paper with a coffee in the morning.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate. Sorry I thought you might have read something about the Leeds whine and found a law of the game he was complaining about. He just came across as bitter to me personally because Wolves are light years ahead of the rest in that division.}

Really great gesture from Robertson that, has went up considerably in my estimation. When players start giving a damn about the fans, the city, the people it really starts to give me a good feeling about where we are heading - not only do we seem to be building up a talented group of players, but a group of players who genuinely care about the club and its supporters and whose conduct, both on and off the pitch, reflect that. Long may it continue.

p. s. appreciate these daily reviews Ed, informative but without all the bile and nonsense the regular news outlets fill up their articles with, excellent stuff.

What a legend Robbo is, made me laugh, let's be honest no one wants the left back shirt which is why i got Firminos.

Im sure a lot of people would still want Robbo's shirt!

Not only are a lot of our players class on the pitch they are class off it. A lot of other prem players wouldn't have done that, comment above about the usual divs worrying about their own haircut is too true.

I watched a copa90 video on YT, it was arsenal players doing the 5 shot challege.

Xhaka and Ozil were legit embarrasing, not something they might not have wanted to do but xhaka attempt was laughable and shows kind of the mindset he has. The most competitive players even if its just a game want to win, then you get players like Xhaka so lazy, its 5 shots make an effort lad. On a side note Carzola is funny.

But to some it up. Top class from Robbo!

No probs ed. I was miffed that Chelsea and Man City could go from mid table to where they are with an 'undeserved' leg up, but hey ho, it's made the league more interesting in the long run. Leeds won't likely have to deal with Wolves next season either so they will have to find some excuses from elsewhere. Get your own house in order before complaining about the neighbour's rusty car, or shiny Ferrari but you get what I mean!

Another thing though ed, if you would. I don't know that much about it but do you think Wolves' model has the potential to be able to drive them towards the top of the Premier league eventually? Mendes is a pretty powerful figure in football, after all and if he can get the right players in there for them. where is the ceiling?

{Ed001's Note - it really depends on how much Fosun are willing to invest. They have changed their company colours to match Wolves' and other things which suggest they see it as a genuine top club. Mendes' help can be as counter-productive as it is helpful though as he will want his players to move for money, rather than stay and play for Wolves.}

Fair enough ed. Well it'll be interesting to see. I like the idea of a league full of powerful clubs so I hope it comes good for them. I'd rather there was the same amount of competition at the top of the league as there is currently from 8th down. I know it's not a simple situation but if every team thought they had a chance of success we might a bit less of the whole attack vs defence training ground scenario going on.

{Ed001's Note - if teams stopped folding the minute City walked into the stadium, they would beat them. Pep's teams have never done well when teams attacked them. They have always suffered shock results to those teams, I really thought more teams in England would see that. You only have to look at the cups, where teams had nothing to lose so went at them and they struggled every single time. Cowards like Pulis etc have ruined the league with their safety first mentality.}
