If salah does beat the record of Premiership goals he has to win player of the year.
I know De Bruyne has has been exceptionally good and will win the Premier league but salah performance warrents the award more.
He has smashed my prediction of goals and in my opinion deserves to be recognised with the award.

Yeah KDB had been exceptional but there's no doubt about it, Salah has been the better out of the two.

Salah has nearly as many assists and has a bucket load of goals, playing in an inferior team, Salah deserves it.

I always look at it in this way, if you take KDB out of city’s team would they still be top? Whilst being considerably worse I do think they’d still be winning the league.

Take Salah away from us and I’d argue we could be below arsenal, purely hypothetical I know but there has to be a stronger case for Salah right now. Maybe the quarter final will swing the votes with who comes out on top.

{Ed001's Note - I think David Silva has a better argument than De Bruyne personally. He makes City tick and they struggled while he was out.}

Thats a good point eds, Silva is a genius, KDB has had a top season but Silva has been running that MF for years, he's 32 but it doesn't even look like that has had any effect on him.

I would give it to Salah though, top goal scorer from a wide position. beating the likes of Aguero and kane who are the main men. Additionally has bags of assists. Plus his first season in the prem, was not expected he would have quite as much as an impact and tbh has made the entire world of football stop and think, yeah he's pretty special.

Second season in prem tbf, if he takes the golden boot I think he will win player of the year, if we won ucl it's defo. If City win ucl it will probably be kdb.

Lads if and I say if we win the champions league. Salah is on for the balon dore!

He s on 37 goals with a potential 12 games left. He could hit 50 this season and 35 in the league, he could even go for Ronaldos 36 prem goal record.

Forget poty let de bryune have that even though he has been nowhere near salah. It's been aguero and Silva leading the way for them!
