Ok here's a question lad's should we rest player's for the Everton game? For me it's a perfect time to start Ings and Solanke and maybe play a few other's. I'd be quite prepared to take the hit against Everton.

It's a tough one as I believe Utd will drop points this weekend but the others may not so it's not a time for us to start dropping them. We have a comfortable 10 points on Chelsea in 5th but if we lose on sat and they win on weekend and then game in hand it's down to 4 points with 6 games to go. Best case we win on sat and qualify on tue but there's always a chance of worst case us losing on sat and going out of Europe. This next week could be pivotal for our season.

Agreed. Play hendo obviously, and tbh id be keen to trot out the same back 4.

It's the derby and Klopp would get a ton of flak if we lost with players from the bench. But I would still go along with you and agree. I would rest Firmino and Salah and start Mane, Solanke and Ings upfront. Play Henderson, Wijnaldum and Ox in the midfield and Clyne, Lovren, Van Dijk and Moreno for the back 4. Maybe bring in Masterson for Van Dijk later in the game if we are ahead by two goals.

I'd be tempted to rest Firmino and give Ings a go, probably Solanke for Salah too if he's carrying a knock.

I was having this conversation at work and wonder if it might be time to bring in 1/ 2 players who would be forced to play should any injuries occur. (Eg. Clyne/ Masterson)

I do think it’d be harsh to drop TAA for the derby - but keeping him fresh vs Sane again is a priority and I can see there being many more in opporunities to take on Everton in a Red shirt in the future for him.

Salah is a no brainer with the knock, then maybe Firms too as his pressing will be vital. Why nor throw out a front three of Woodbury/ Solanke/ Ings eh? (Well, because it’s Everton but that’s besides the point) .

Klopp has used rotation almost the season so would be a surprise not to in this situation.

Either way, what a week of football to come!

Rest as many players as he can. We don't get the chance to make it to a CL semi too often. Im sure the fans understand the importance of next Tuesdays game.

Defo rotate players im sure the blue noses would be happy to leave a few marks and dead legs on our players I'd not put it past fat sam! Bring in ings solanke Moreno clyne play hendo we should be well capable of doing them they are absolute rubbish.

It’s a tough one, we want to win the derby but at same time as it’s a derby Everton won’t be holding back in challenges and we can’t afford injuries as we have lots already.
Not sure how long Klavan and Gomez are out and therefore we definitely can’t afford to lose Lovren and VVD for the city game.
Midfield has a similar problem, Henderson plays as he’s suspended but therefore even more important we don’t lose any others with Can still out.
Front three we have more options to rest Mané, Firmino and Salah. So I think time for Ings, Solanke and maybe Woodburn.
It’s a tricky balancing act for Klopp.

Ings Yes! He can run in between and would be a good shout.

Firmino looks like he could do with a rest, and I think it would benefit Solanke or Ings (or both) to play this game. It's tempting to rest Mane and Salah too, but we still need to beat Everton, so I'm not sure if I'd leave all three of our first choice attackers out. Salah's fitness after the knock will likely decide his participation.

I'd leave the center back partnership of Lovren and van Dijk because the more games they play together the better. I don't think Alexander-Arnold needs a rest, but if we're going to need Clyne at any stage this season he needs to play football, so it's a consideration. Likewise, I don't think resting Robertson is an absolute necessity, but we could do it if we wanted to.

Being suspended for the second leg, Henderson might as well play as long as he's fit enough to do so, but I'm not sure who to partner him. Probably Wijnaldum and either Woodburn or the Ox.

I agree Rover but it is the darby after all. A very tough call lad's.

{Ed033's Note - Good job it's not the derby.

Ings Solanke and wij in for Ox mo and bobby.

Best way to look at it is

Karius (should be played no reason not to)
Arnold (should be played as no others)
Van Dijk (same reason as Arnold)
Lovren (same as above)
Robertson (as we can’t rely on Moreno so soon after injury)

That leaves midfield.

Henderson (suspended for City game so should play)
Milner (I’d say rest for Tuesday and play Wijnaldum)
Chamberlain. (should play as can only rest one of the three)

Attack.
Firmino. (Could do with a rest play Ings)
Mane. (Been out more than the other two forwards so should play)
Salah (injury worry and need him for Tuesday, play someone else)

That’s how I see it anyway.

Karius
Taa
Lovern
Vvd
Robertson
Hendo
Gini
Ox
Mane
Ings
Moreno.

Alway's picking on the quiet ones Ed😁.

{Ed033's Note - I thought you were on about Terence Trent D'Arby

Personally I wouldn’t change Karius, Lovren or Van Dijk. I think they can probably manage all three games and it would be good for them to start developing that relationship. At full back if Clyne and Moreno are fit I’d bring them both in, Trent and Robbo probably need a rest. Henderson should play in midfield as he won’t play the 2nd leg and id play him with Wijnaldum and Milner. With the view to playing Can Ox and Milner in the 2nd leg. Then up top id be tempted to rest two of the front three and play Solanke, Ings and Mane?

The Hard Line According To.

18.) 05 Apr 2018
05 Apr 2018 23:28:11
I trust Klopp to do what is right however if I could pick, I would not even dress Salah, Firmino, TAA, Can, Robbo and put in Moreno, Ings, Solanke and Clyne at least to start. As long as we don't lose, I'm good with whatever changes we make.

19.) 05 Apr 2018
05 Apr 2018 23:37:23
I’d go Karius then TAA, Lovren, VVD, Moreno

Midfield of Hendo, Gini and Ox

Upfront play Mane, Ings and Salah (assuming not injured)

Using Woodburn, Solanke and Clyne to rest TAA, Salah and hopefully Ox for last 30mins.

20.) 06 Apr 2018
06 Apr 2018 08:49:12
Mignolet; Clyne, Masterson, VVD, Moreno; Hendo-Gini-Milner;Ings-Woodburn-Solanke.

I know it's the derby, but it isn't a priority now. We won't lose top 4 regardless of the result.
