Wijnaldum was instrumental for that goal and Mane was so quick and direct to create the chance. Salah's finish though was world class. The confidence to do that.

Firmino took his goal really well too. Phenomenal composure from both of them considering they hardly had got a kick the Man City penalty area otherwise.

I love this team, i just don't get the feeling they realise how special they actually are. Have to say it was a good decision selling coutinho, it seems to have brought the players closer together.

Not getting carried away but we are still in it so we can definately win it. Shout out to wijnaldum, came into an unfamiliar role and did a good job. Love it and this so makes up the the five nil at the beginning of the season.

{Ed0333's Note - Gini stunk the place out. The Ox was the midfielder you should be praising.

I disagree, Ed. Gini to me, played his best game for us away from home and by a mile. Ox in contrast, had a poor first half (well, like most of our players really) BUT he woke up in the second half. That pass to Salah that started the move for the first goal, was sublime, IMO.

{Ed0333's Note - I saw it the other way round. Gini awful and Ox very good. A game of opinions though mate.

Gini was excellent, for about 30 minutes in the second half. Kind of invisible for the rest of the game. A microcosm of his season, if you will. Showed he has the ability to play really well but for some reason doesn't deliver it consistently.

333 is right, Ox was a trojan today. And so was Mane. Even in the first half when we weren't getting a kick, the work the two of them put in made sure City's attempts to get two (or even three) agaisnt one on Alexander-Arnold didn't pay off.

{Ed0333's Note - I have a lot of respect for Mane. I’ve been his harshest critic this season but he’s modified his game. His searing pace has gone and he no longer glides past players but he’s added strength and more defensive duties. He’s more of a team player now and it seems to be working.

I also though Wijnaldum was good 2nd half. I thought him, Lovren, VVD, Ox and Firmino were our stand out players.

Wijnaldum is awful at keeping hold of the ball, a big factor of why we struggled first half, he grew second half because city were deflated and didn't harry us as much, Wijnaldum needs moving on this summer imo.
