The Panini stickers are now a global commodity Ed! I till very recently use to still collect them with the Kids (for purely nostalgia reasons ofcourse! ), this year they are 80p a pack and the average cost to complete an album is £800!.

{Ed001's Note - I can get a box of cereal for £2 and each one comes with a pack of stickers - bargain! Though I have to admit, I am going to get sick of the sight of Coco bloody Pops soon, not that I bought extra because of the stickers of course. I always buy them in bulk. Honest.}

Cheers ed mate.

Lol yeah 'family-friendly club' and they go employ Barton, you can't make this stuff up!

{Ed001's Note - odd one that.}

Can’t believe Bobby is not in prem team!

{Ed001's Note - or that Aguero is in it when he has struggled with injury and Kane has not been in top form most of the season. It is an odd choice all over as Otamendi was in and out of the team due to not playing well early in the season.}

Firmino has been way ahead of Aguero and Kane this season, I don't understand it either, probably a good thing mind, he's underrated, keeps him out of the limelight.

Firmino to me is one of the best players in the league, what stands out to me is his intelligence along with KDB, Silva and Salah. I can't put Aguero or Kane in that category, sure they are goal scorers but there's more to football then just scoring goals.

Does not matter if Bobby's not in the PFA team of the year. Let the world keep underrating him while we enjoy his total football.

True Buzzer, but we also don't want our players thinking 'if I stay at Liverpool I have to break records for recognition, maybe I should go somewhere else where I'll be given the credit I'm due'. Fine lines.

I read yesterday that Firmino is the first player in the 130 year history of football to make over 60 tackles and create over 50 chances in a single season (No idea of validity, just what I've read) .

I saw that as well MK, on reddit. The lad is utter class, he's still my #1.

Firminho is the best player in the league in my opinion and will be even better next season.

My front 3 for the team of the season would be Salah, Kane and Firmino. Firmino has been a better player than Aguero this season 100%.

I work at the factory the panini books are made ed. Many shops will be giving them away free. Co op and Tesco were the latest versions made but there are more stores involved so I can’t understand people paying for fakes.

{Ed001's Note - that is what I always thought mate. The books were always given away as the money was made from selling the stickers.}

In fairness to kane there is a lot more to his game than just scoring goals, I prefer Firmino though.

I always thought that it was the players with the highest PFA votes in each position that made up the team. Though, I can't believe that players would vote for hype when they see these guys first hand.

Apparently, Firmino was in it initially, but when Kane got wind of the decision he appealed and we all know what happens next.

That's a great start MK. Really sums him up. If kane wasn't English then Firmino would have been in that team and with salah and Firmino in, you'd have to be brave to leave out mane.

I disagree with most of that team. Except de gea, silva, de bruyne and salah. I reckon I could pick a team of different players who would beat that team.

Karius
Trippier
Vvd
Alderverwield
Robertson

Aoc
Matic
Kante

Mane
Firmino
Son.

Trippier, Son, AOC and Matic are no where near the best in their positions. A team of the season without De Bruyn is ridiculous, he’s been the best player this year.

{Ed001's Note - Surely it is arguable whether De Bruyne has even been the best player at City? For me David Silva has been head and shoulders above everyone, including De Bruyne.}

16.) 19 Apr 2018

I severely question that Firmino stat, I doubt people were tracking tackles and chances created 30 years ago let alone 130 years ago.

Ed- De Bruyne has been the standout for me, created chance after chance for the likes of Sterling (to miss) and Sane. Silva is an exceptional player, possibly the best overseas the prem has seen based on talent and not stats (Henry would win on stats), but De Bruyne is the future of their midfield.

{Ed001's Note - future, yes, but the present is defo Silva and he was much better than De Bruyne who is just flashier but offers less to the team overall. That showed when their performances dropped after Silva was out and immediately picked up once he was back and in form. De Bruyne is just not as important to the team, Silva is THE most important player in the team by a long way. He is the key and it was keeping him shut down that saw us beat them.}

Ed 01 I’ve got about 10 books spare if you want one. Also the scum are giving them away free and ordered over 2 million copies. Here’s to hoping they all go in the bin.

{Ed001's Note - I am ok mate I was joking.}

I agree de bruyne and salah have been the best but my point was. There are some real shockers in there imo.
