So over the weekend i made the plunge and got married! Shame about the result but the weather was unbelievable, so every cloud and all that (although there was none in the sky! ) .

But the point of this post is to show and thank the club for their brilliance in having an impact on my day. So for my stag i was made to wear an everton shirt, to this day it haunts me. But my friends notified the club of my horror and they did something that will stick with me forever. They send me a signed congratulations from all the first team squad, a small gesture but it meant the world so i just wanted to thank LFC for once agin showing why i support such a fantastic club.

I gave you a thumbs up for a cracking story and a thumbs down for wearing an Everton shirt 😉

In all seriousness, I'm glad you had a great day mate. My dad reckons that this is the point you will get fat and lose your hair though; which is why I've been engaged for over 2 years 😂.

Congratulations WYred, and best of luck to you both

And MK you're already in the trap, your hair will start falling out as soon as you hear 'shall we set a date' for the 100th time.

Thanks MK!

I almost thought that getting the gift from the club was worth the pain and then I immediately slapped myself across the face for such a stupid thought. And you dad is probably right but I'm half way there so I thought losing a bit of hair won't do any harm!

Whilst I have the chance I wanted to say keep up with all the articles for this site, they are well worth the time you put in and just hope they go across a desk of someone who needs a new football writer.

Thank you mate, that means a lot. I'm working on the CL preview right now actually.

Any honeymoon planned?

I don't think you're new wife would be happy with you describing your wedding that way mate! ;)

{Ed001's Note - she said something along the same lines, something about the performance being poor on the night....}

Haha SG maybe i should of checked the wording on that one. And ed001 you know far too much about my wedding night for my liking ;)

{Ed001's Note - you would be amazed what your missus tells people. Luckily for you I didn't think it would be fair on you to post up all the intimate details about brewer's droop...}

First of all, WYRed, congratulations! What a great weekend, weather-wise! Always a risk in April, but you struck gold this weekend mate (comments about wedding night notwithstanding! ) .

I'd like to second your post about the club and how caring they can be.

I got married 12 years ago (feck! that long! ) and my wife to be (understanding soul as she is! ) accepted my wish to have a Liverpool theme to the wedding! Well, I got to name the tables after my favourite players, and we had a big "This is Anfield" sign adorning the top table!

I wanted to send an invitation to the team, but as we were playing at home that day, and the wedding was down South, it was unlikely to say the least! What my finacee did do, however, was post a wedding congratulations card to Anfield and ask if the players would mind signing it?

The club did better than that. They sent a printed out, personalised message, with our names and the date of the wedding, congratulating us, signed by most of the team (including back room) along with a photo of the Kop in full swing, scarves out!

My fiancee then got it professionally framed and gave it to me on our wedding day as her gift!

What a keeper - the memento and the missus!

WYred, welcome to the club, man. Please, leave your emotions and needs amongst your wife's belongings cos trust me, you won't be needing any of them as they belong to your her now.

I was engaged to the missus for 3 years, after which she stated that the engagement had lapsed and I needed to re-propose and get a new ring.10 years later and she is still waiting. Still got my hair too although!
