Good review Seano, got to be said Chelsea played us well, they're a good team, champs last year, we've no god given right to roll them over.

We were jaded today. A big Champions League game and not much time to recover. The lads did their best but just fell short.
Two massive games now.
Both winnable
Come on you mighty Redmen!

YNWA.

@Acered - cheers mate.

@Idontlooklikeklopp - I'm not suggesting we have a god given right to just roll Chelsea - like you say they are a good team with a lot of talent in their squad - what I am suggesting is that we the fans expect the players to turn up for the big games, in the last 4 league games nobody has really turned up and taken any game by the scruff of the neck. The players need to be doing more - all well and good saving yourself for the Champions League but, if the players aren't careful, they won't even be in it next year.

@Liver_la - I agree that the players were jaded, no question, but I do not agree that was 'their best'. If it is we are in dire straits. They fell well short of the required standard and never, at any point in the matched, raised their game above average. Against good teams that simply isn't good enough.

Klopp knew they were going to come out in a 3-5-2, and yet he sent out Arnold, Milner and Wijnaldum in a clear mismatch in the midfield. Arnold is not ready for the midfield, Milner is clearly tired and Wijnaldum was his usual unpredictable self. If anything he should have made a tactical change at half time. Maybe it could have worked, maybe not. Good review Seano_ 👍.

Good read, Seano. Karius did not have his best game BUT he has had way better games so it is all part of the process. I don't agree about the goal being partly his fault. That ball was put in the far corner so don't know what attempting to dive would have done. Gk's are caught out like that all the time so no big deal for me. Spot on with vvd as well BUT I guess he will be given a pass and poor ol' Lovs who had to mark 3 players will get the blame cos well, that is what happens these days.

For me, this was a game that many knew we might lose and we did. Our boys gave their best BUT you can't rely on beating Chelsea at the Bridge while running on fumes so no point, slating whoever for it. Our injuries have come at the worst time and that is a scenario that no manager can plan for this late in the season. On to BHA.
