honestly, Macca gives us amazing insight and what do we do?

a fat list of people complaining about said targets, writing them off, worrying that means Salah is off.

despite robertson, Ox, Salah (to some people), even Mane were met with sceptiscism - even outrage in some cases.

can we not just drop our armchair manager egos and trust the recruitment team for a change?

"oooh but this is a site about opinions and banter". yes it is but don't bite the hands that feeds you.

Well said 87, thank god I'm not alone in thinking this way.

Nothing wrong with criticising the targets, but it has to be constructive or at least followed up with a bit of balance ie. "Maybe Klopp will make it work by-"

At the end of the day, these players are professionals for a reason. Is Butland weak on crosses? Yes. But he is great with his distribution and shot stopping.

Is Tarkowski slow and clumsy on the ball? Yes, but he is also a passionate defender who put a his body on the line.

Is Ceballos young and a little inconsistent? Yes but he has superb potential.

As you say, these guys signing these players are paid millions to be where they are. Sometimes, you just have to trust them. Doesn't mean you're not allowed to project your feelings or concerns. But their is a fine line between healthy debate and spitting venom. If you point out flaws, you should also point out strengths for the sake of balance and fairness.

In Football manager 2018 Tarkowski Best role is Ball playing defender, Butland has better potencial and current ability than Karius, Fekir is class, Dembele has better potencial than Salah and Ceballos has better potencial than Emre.
I suppose to some extent their ability’s are correct. ( FM has their own scouting network ) just saying 😬.

Well said 87red i posted something similar last week. Like deja vu. Am afraid if you're expecting us to go sign world class players you clearly don't grasp what klopp and fsg are about. We can't just go and throw £200m on defence in one window etc. And tbh id rather klopps way anyway love watching players grow and improve like ox mane salah id have that any day over pogba sanchez etc.

Have to agree with MK here, no one is biting the hand that feeds them. Most if not all the users of this site appreciate maccas insight and he more often than not produces the goods along with the Ed’s. No ones complaining about the information and where it’s coming from. If people are criticising it’s towards some of the targets and like MK has said it’s usually constructive criticism, people have grown to trust the recruitment but how many times in the past have we been burnt by bad expensive purchases. Can you really blame people for having doubts? If we just sat there on this site and just said ‘well I trust the recruitment so I have no opinion on said player till they play for us’ then this would be one boring site with no debating going on what so ever. Player bashing is different from constructive criticism, no one has said any of these players are absolute rubbish but some people are doubiting whether some of them would really push us to that next level, what wrong with that?

On one hand people say stop worrying about money and the other hand they are skeptical we don’t have £200 mill to spend. Coco, how do you know how much money have we got to spend this summer? Where did you get these numbers from! Including Kieta I am sure Klopp will spend £200 mill this summer.

Regarding players and opinions. there's is absolutely no problem in having an opinion on players. That is why you watch a match and not listen to radio! You could see what the player is all about. Having an opinion means you have seen the player play!

I genuinely can’t see any positives go Tarkowski, he’s a dyed in the wool Man United supporter and I’d rather not have one of those in the ranks, he’s slow, clumsy, doesn’t read the game very well and is poor on the ball. Ok I get that he throws his body around to block etc, but really? Is that the best we can do?

Dembélé, his move to Barcelona hasn’t gone as well as he’d hoped, the injury he suffered was a really severe one and I’d worry that he’d lost a yard or two of pace and also there’s question marks if he’d be able to deliver after such a bad injury, not even thinking about the possibility of reoccurrence.

Ceballos, good player, but not absolutely top class by a long way, I’m reluctant for us to have any transfer dealings with Real Madrid while they hold any interest in Salah as they’re likely to want to make us a lowball offer and chuck him in as part of the deal. Ruben Neves would be a far better option for a deeper playing midfielder because he can hack it in a more physical league and has settled well in England.

Butland, has had a nightmare of a time with injury, before that was probably the best English keeper around. He has the presence in the box but his decision making is questionable, however a far better option than Navas. For the right price would be an upgrade on Mignolet.

Fekir, actually really like this player, has the ability to be top class. Can play multiple positions in attacking midfield and even as a false nine.

I don't understand your post. Whether people have opinions or not on the players that macca posted has no relevance to whether or not they were grateful for the post itself.

Im pretty sure macca doesn't take offence to the fact that someone doesn't rate the players he has stated we are interested in. He is only merely stating that's who he thinks we are interested in and shouldn't take any offence at all if someone personally thinks they aren't good enough.

If people didn't have opinions on players pretty much 90 per cent of all the posts on here would be gone.

Ofcourse every player the club sign should have full support and a chance to prove themselves but at the same time if someone feels that they don't think they are good enough from the off set what harm are they doing by stating their opinion on it.

Wolverine,

People clamour for insight on a daily basis and the second me get one people do nothing but whinge about who we’re after.

Again, fans have been proven wrong on numerous occasions but still think they know more than the people in charge.

I have no name. I was clearly meaning spending £200m after sales etc. Like the two Manchester teams can do, with there resources. Let's trust our transfer team and klopp, they have done brilliantly in the market up to now.

Your getting too worked up about what other people are saying. Let them have their say be it right or wrong. If you feel what they say is wrong drop them a post and state your view as to why you think their wrong. Even world class managers have different opinions on players.

I do kinda get what your saying now though mate. I probaby should have read over your post again. I just thought that you were saying people wernt allowed to have an opinion. Which is a very unrealistic thing to ask.

It takes all types mate. Some people are naturally negative and gloomy about the future. Some are blindly ultra positive.

Im an optimist about all things liverpool and will give any new signing a chance but i can totally understand why some people would be really upset if for example you sold torres and bought andy carrol for 35 million.

I think its going to be a good summer. Klopp seems to be after who he needs for his system or who he needs for any tweaks to the system.

It looks like its all on the up.
