My view on Salah's injury, Ramos deliberately held on to Salah's arm in an attempt to make sure Salah came down, he couldn't risk letting Salah passed him.

What it wasn't was a deliberate attempt to injure him, 99 times out of a hundred Salah jumps up and continues. Frankly Ramos isn't clever enough to do that deliberately.

Can you see the replay again and comment? Ramos did it on purpose! Look when that @@@@@@@ left his arm.

Vak, I think he held onto his arm on purpose but I think his intent was to bring him down not injure him.

He was stopping him Vak, that's his job. It's far too easy for us to say it was deliberate but I don't believe it was. I can't stand Ramos, he really winds me up but I don't believe he intentionally injured Salah.

If it wasn’t to injure him, why carry on holding onto him? He knew what he was doing and he has form for it.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think in the heat of battle it would cross anyones mind to deliberately in a split second hurt a fellow professional mate..

I agree Ramos meant to pull him down didn't mean to injure him so badly.
Sheer bad luck.

Putney, if Ramos did not deliberately try to injure him in some way then, why did he not release Salah's arm from the arm bar he put it in all the way to the ground hence, preventing Salah from protecting himself from the impact of his own fall fall? I await your response.

Ramos is THAT kind of player and he revels in it. The same way that Keane did, the same way as Goikoetxea did. There are unfortunately ‘footballers’ who go out of there way to harm opponents. He’s one of them.

The elephant in the room is that if everyone agrees he deliberately meant to bring him down - injury or no - it’s a foul. It would have been a good position for a free kick. He got away with it scott free. A yellow card should have been shown.

He deliberately went out to kick him off the park, it’s part of the game. As I said in an earlier post, he was going to keep at Salah until the ref intervened or Salah was injured. Then went to work on whoever was nearest to him. Look at the flying elbow on Karius right before the goal. He is a nasty piece of work, end of story. Had it been Ronaldo who fouled Salah, I’d have said, intentional foul but it’s not in him. Some players do have a nasty streak, simple as and Ramos is the nastiest of the lot. He’s not the first, nor the last. Like frankly quite rightly pointed out, Roy Keane’s infamous tackle on hangaland where he intentionally went to injure him and instead ended his career and then gleefully admitted to it in his book is a perfect example of what some players are capable of. Ramos was absolutely man of the match for the wrong reasons.
