Hi everyone, it's been a long time I posted, but I read the post often, i have known this site for over seven years and is good to be back amongst my fellow LFC family. My take on the proposed fallout with Lyon over the transfer of fekir is that, we will be better off looking for alternatives that will meet the demand of klopp, like some that were dissapointed over the failed deal, i was also gutted but when I look at the bigger picture, i believe we are not going to regret it, so I urge those that are gutted to be patient and at the end of the day, we will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

For my money we have bigger priorities.
Goalkeeper, partner for VVD being the first 2 👍.

I agree Ron, but it will be one step at a time.

Disagree with Partner for Van dijk over a need for a replacement for one of the front three as champions league final showed the lack of suitable replacement.

Not too bothered with the Fekir deal not happening. Why? If he has bad knees (as reported all over English and French media) then sorry, NO DEAL. Why should we take the risk? To placate some fickle fans who think transfers in reality are like the ones done on FIFA 2018 or to make some "statement of intent". whatever the heck that means as I have seen with fans losing their marbles on SM, blaming the club for not doing what they want? NO WAY!

Transfers are not cut and dry, never have been and never will be. People fail medicals all the time and at the same time, if a team wants to sign you, they will take the risk cos we have seen players being signed whilst injured in the past. Aquilani anyone?

The fact is that if Fekir's knees were to big a problem to overcome long term, then pull out of the deal and move on which is what we have done. We should not be saddled with such risks cos the same fans (on SM) being fickle now, would be the same fans saying "Oh if we knew his knees would be a problem, why did we sign him? " cos you know, they are never wrong.

I think both Johncrow and Ron Keague are right. We need a goalkeeper, partner for VVD along with cover for the front 3, all are equally as important as each other but maybe the goalkeeper more so.

Absolutely spot on BRover. Nail on the head mate.

If it's in klopp we trust then we need to trust klopp

Let's just hope he sees what we need and the board back him like that have so far.

Spot on Ron.

Keeper and a CB.

If VVD gets injured then it’s back to square one with Lovren, Matip and Klavan. The biggest weakness in the team.

I think a no10 is more vital than a new cb as was shown in the ucl final when our midfield struggled to supply the front three.

Fekir is not the only decent no10, there must be hundreds. I think we will see a acm this summer, maybe fekir.

Seems that the medical piece only became an issue when lfc weren’t able to use it to drive down a lower price. Why would Lyon look to renegotiate on a price when they know there will be interest from
Elsewhere after the World Cup.
