Well it's official lad's XS is here. So now that he's here let's give him a chance to see what he can do. He's either going to be brilliant or total muck either way we have to support him.

Hopefully he's a hit Barry and not another Balotelli but he has to improve on his attitude, work rate and decision making, but if anyone can turn a pigs ear (maybe a bit harsh but u know what I mean) into silk purse then its Klopp. I still think we will sign Fekir not so sure about the goalkeeping front but Fabinhio, Keita, Shaqiri and Fekir isn't too shabby a window is it bud.

Welcome to LFC, Xherdan!

I agree, he may be hit and miss sometimes but let's give a chance! We didn't have good back up for our forwards so he's a good addition. Hopefully Klopp can get the best from him.

I rate this lad, remember similar reactions when Henderson signed but for different reasons. With Hendo the sceptics said not enough quality and with Shaqiri it’s he doesn’t work hard enough. It takes all types of footballers to make a great team.
I think and hope he’ll be a super signing for us. Set piece delivery, great vision in open play and a goal in him too. With great players around him he could be a pivotal cog in
Klopps machine, welcome to LFC Shaqir lad 👏.

Wasn't the goalkeeper many of us were expecting but its done now. I assume the plan is to put him on Karius' shoulders and wrap them in a trench coach, I like the innovation.

In all seriousness, 100% agree with everything that's been said. Liverpool player now, so let's all give him our full support.

I'm prettty sure we questioned Mane and VVD's attitudes before they came and no one is mentioning Kieta' anymore. Seems like a bit of double standards there. I've never watched Stoke (or Switzerland) live or them play 90 minutes of football on tv (apart from against us) so I'm guessing the people who comment on his effort levels are regular attendees to his fixtures. Let's give the lad a chance and who knows he might actually help our cause.

Exactly. He is a LFC player now and ya know, I now love him. Yesterday he was one of my most hated players.

His remarks about his FORMER team mates was awful but that was yesterday. He is in a Liverpool red shirt now and we have to give him our love because despite his attitude issues the guy is a fantastic player. Surrounded by our classy players I reckon we will see the best of shaqiri, he is entering his prime and he is doing it at Liverpool.

Also I think the laid back, hard working and seriously professional atmosphere will be perfect for him.

He can play in many positions including midfield so it's a good signing at 13mil.

Weirdly, I'm very excited by it, I think we've just become a better team by signing him and that's what it's all about.

We've always had a problem with squad depth, especially with regards to players with PL experience so I think Shaqiri might well be a welcome addition. Still only 26 and for a very small fee in today's transfer market.

I think he can do a job for us! Has ability, and Klopp seems to get people working, so this could be a steal. Really wanted him to sign 4 years ago.

I’m looking forward to see what he can do in a Liverpool shirt I think jk will get a lot out of him.

We are doing good business in the transfer market and I can still see put downs regarding Karius. let's lay off him. imagine if he were reading these posts after all the pathetic death threats. i am as gutted as anyone what happened in the final but come on we are LFC. Let’s get behind all our boys and give them a fresh slate for the new season. our squad is already improved and with keita I think we have a game changer.

Jayden, we all have a right to question players' attitudes IF they have shown themselves to be complete bells in the clubs they were at. Mane has huge disciplinary issues at The Saints like turning up late to training and team meetings, turning up late to games to the point of getting fines and being benched by Koeman. VVD too had his attitude issues of not giving his best when playing for Saints cos he was refused his LFC move before he finally came.

Keita had attitude issues as well last season and all that has been documented here. Shaquiri has been a right bell through out his career and his conduct in the Swiss team when he was not offered the capt's armband was disgraceful. No need to watch his games. Just do some research. So we should just keep quiet and not voice concerns about such red flags just cos they wanna come here? Pls, you are free to not comment on those things BUT the rest of us will and as long as Klopp can allay our fears, I'm good with that which he has w/ Keita, Mane, VVD and now Shaq.

Why is anyone comparing him to Balotelli? He’s nothing like Balotelli! None of you actually know him you e just taken the Ed’s word that he’s got some kind of attitude problem then acted like it’s fact.
Give the guy a chance this is a huge chance for him at a big club so I’m sure his attitude will be just fine.

Bobbys, Shaquiri's dreadful attitude and selfishness are all well documented. All you have to do is do some research online. How do you think I knew about how disgracefully he conducted himself in the Swiss team in the Euros in 2016 when the manager gave Lichstiener the armband and not Shaquiri. Shaquiri threw a complete strop and threatened to go play for Kossovo (as if he really can) and said, "Maybe they will respect me more" right before a KO game vs Poland (which they lost on pens) . I saw the report myself. Did not need the Ed's to tell me that (even tho they mentioned his attitude issues in 2015 when we were linked with him under BR) . I saw the report before the the Euro game TWO YEARS AGO.

Do some research for yourself and you will know what I know. It's that simple. He has my support as an LFC player now BUT history is what it is and you can't erase that just cos you disagree with us calling it out.
