I' might have missed it but I looked. I promise. Is there hype around Curtis Jones, the boy looks composed and comfortable on the ball bases on the limited sample size against weaker opposition. However he seems to be doing all the basics right, move into space make the right pass, picks up good defensive spaces. What does the academy make of this young boy he looks like he could be develop into a Cmd or box to Box. Like a Dembele esk type, good om the ball, not fly can dribble a bit. Anyone else rate this kid?

I think he's brilliant, I watched him last season and he stood out every game for the u23s. I just hope he gets his chances as he seems to have adapted to the first team well albeit in pre season against weak opposition. He made the step up from the u18s to the u23s mid last season and he made it look effortless so hopefully he can do that again this time with the senior team. He's certainly the one to watch from the academy and the most likely to step up to first team football.

{Ed025's Note - the thing is da red man that the calibre of signings liverpool have made (and i dont think they are finished yet) means chances for the young guys will be few and far between mate, i wish i was wrong...but that hardly ever happens mate.. :)

True Ed, and has been for a while. When I see us sign players who can't make the step up at Chelsea, I wonder whether it is to develop them a bit more at reserve level with a view to on sell.

{Ed002's Note - It doesnt win leagues.}
