Ed 001 what did you make of Lovrens comments making out he's the best defender in the world? He's not even the best defender at the club.

{Ed001's Note - he didn't say that at all. I wish people would actually stop believing everything they read and actually listen to his comment.}

The article I read quoted him as saying ""I think people should recognise that I'm one of the best defenders in the world and not just talk nonsense I will say. "

Perhaps something was lost in translation Ed001? Or classic journos are fudging it for views?

{Ed001's Note - journos talking crap mate, that was what he said exactly but why would they let the truth get in the way of the chance to dig at a favoured target?}

Well said Ed001. Been annoying me last few days, pundits, social media accounts twisting what was said to suit their agenda. Rather than give the guy abit of credit considering how much he has turned it around since that Spurs game. He should be given so much credit.

He must be “one of” the best defenders in the world seeing as he’s playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world and one of the best international teams in the world.

I’d say he’s in the top 50 which makes him “one of” the best defenders in the world.

How many great defenders are there around at the moment?

I think lovrens words have been twisted to make it sound like he is boasting. But really he wassaying it in the context of being on the end of over the top criticism and abuse. Good on him.

If lovren continues the form he has shown in the last few months for another year I think he truly will be considered one of the very best in the world.
