Hello to all liverpool supporters on here. I'm a glasgow rangers fan and i'm absolutely over the moon, that your liverpool, midfield legend, steven gerrard, is our new manager!
What a player he was and i think he'll do a fantastic job, for us, as our manager. Just wish he would play for us as he'd still be head and shoulders above any other midfielder, in the scottish premiership! Just a small question, for all you liverpool supporters, regarding your young wingers, harry wilson and ryan kent. We are very close in signing ryan kent, from you, on a season long loan deal. Must say kent looks a very good, young winger. Here's my question guys. Who is the better winger of the two, harry wilson or ryan kent? Are we getting the better winger in ryan kent? Cheers guys, very much looking forward to reading your comments on this, which of course would be very much appreciated! All the best of luck, for the new season and i truly hope you win the english premier league! I've bet liverpool to win the league, at 5/ 1.

Hello mate, personally I'd say Wilson is the best out of the two, but my opinion to be honest can't be valid because I've not seen enough of Kent. I've only seen Kent play a handful of times but I have been impressed by what I have seen, I'm sure more people here will know more about the lad mate. Many people here speak very highly of him so I think it'd be a good move for him and for Rangers. Good luck next season, it'll be interesting to see how you get on! :) .

I would say wilson is further down the road in his development and should turn out to be a good prem player in the future. Whether he plays for us on a regular basis or not is another matter.

Kent had a couple of indifferent loans last season where he did ok but not great. He has a different style to wilson and is more direct but potentially one dimensional. I do however like him and think he will do well in Scotland.

Kent is faster and more direct. Probably has a better strike on him too. First time I saw it he rattled the bar from about 35 yards whilst on loan at Coventry. He is seriously talented. Physically, he is the better player which is arguably more vital in the aggressive Scottish leagues.

Wilson is the more intelligent player though. His movement is slick and clever. Not to mention is composure. The thing is, He's not that quick so he relies on his close control and first touch to beat players. That is fine on a bowling green of a football pitch, but Scottish pitches are like farmland at times. Plus He's be on a different wave length to most the players in his team.

Without wanting to sound harsh, Scottish football lacks the quality for Wilson to thrive. However, It's robust and raw style of football will suit Kent to a tee. He'll happily knock it past his man and then outpace him. He doesn't need to play intricate little passes because he can just plough through with pace and power. He's individually good. Wilson needs quality around him.

I think It'd be a good signing for Rangers and a good move for Kent, personally. To answer your question in summary; Wilson is the better player, but Kent is the better option for Rangers.

Harry Wilson is the better player and proved on his loan to hull last year that he could cope with a very physical league. But Kent is still a solid talent. Extremely quick with a lot of room to develop, he's had some indifferent loans but he's always seemed to do well when given a run of games. Either way I think the loan will be of mutual benefit, pacey players seem to do well in the Scottish League.

While I disagree with some of the scottish-football ribbing from MK (pitch quality in particular, and to a lesser degree the insinuation that skillful, intelligent players don't flourish in Scottish football), I do agree with the sentiment that Wilson is the better player, but Kent will also be a hit for Rangers.

Watching the first leg of Rangers' euro tie last week, they're absolutely crying out for a direct right winger. Kent on the right, Murphy on the left and Morelos/ Sadiq in the middle is a fine front 3 for trying to close the gap to Celtic (both with finish below the mighty Killie this year though! )
