Gutted for Karius, I really hope he stays and fights for his place.
I can't help but think if he hadn't broken his hand when he first joined things would be a lot different.

I hope Karius is happy in what he does whether that’s stay or go. It’s alright saying I hope he stays and fights and YNWA and all that but what if he doesn’t want to be here anymore?

Think a better gk coach would have been better for him and that's my concern now we need a better coach to keep/ improve alisson's ability's.

He could also improve by watching and learning from Alisson. For a while he was sat watching Migs lol.

I feel for Karius and wish him all the very neat in the future. But the result of events is that we have ended up with Alisson as our number 1 which if Ed01’s analysis is correct will be brilliant for us and Klopp’s style.

Alisson is also from a family of goalkeepers (father, older brother, possibly even mother as well if I recall) so this should ‘protect’ him from any suspect coaching we have at the club. He will take the advice of his family and, hopefully, have the ability to think for himself. He also seems very driven to improve. I can’t wait for the first time I get to see him in action with VVD.

Why what's happened to Karius?

I think the poor fella has a huge uphill struggle ahead of him in trying to rebuild his career. I do hope we see him succeed somewhere in the future.

I was all for Karius to continue as the #1, despite the Champions league final debacle. But in all honesty, if there was a player out there that was better than Salah, and LFC wanted him and went out and got him, then I would support the decision completely. Karius got his shot. More than a few actually. And he muffed his opportunity. It happens.

Aside from coming from a family of GKs, Alisson was also coached by Brazil great Claudio Taffarel at Roma. Let's see what Achterberg does with him at LFC 😑.
