Long time reader, first time posting. Reading comments about favourite signings made this summer. Although I'm very very happy with naby, Allison and Fabinho, i would like everyone's opinion on Shaqiri? I personally think it was quality bit of business and he could turn out to be the signing of the season. Against United in that number 10/ free roaming role, he was outstanding (I know only pre-season) would love him to play at the top of that diamond in the middle with naby and Fabinho and for only 13.5m in today's market is an absolute steal.

Yep and that over head kick did us no worries in adding to his value.

Not that I think we will or have to sell but if it doesn't work out for whatever reason, he's worth 20 or 30 million to someone.

Which means regardless of wether he makes it here or not it was the best 13 million we will probably spend.

I still have a worry about him. He's a big personality and that type of player can really disrupt a dressing room. I also think liverpool has a great vibe about it atm, this could help with shaqiri, it might not.

He looks a good player though and in a team like Liverpool, he will have to work hard, if he does, he could be brilliant.

I like that our team has big personalities now, you need that to win stuff. As long as they don't lose their discipline on the pitch and get red-carded. The nice guy thing obviously hasn't won us anything in the last few years.
