Just watched match of The day, and I do think it’s citys to lose still - they are such a well oiled machine. So well drilled look like they just know what to do at all times.
Okay they have a mistake in them, and their back four is far from impenetrable, but when they need a goal they always look like getting it.
I just think they will be More consistent, and we may go on a run of great wins, but when it comes to the few points which determine who wins overall, they have the experience now too!
My aims for this year are a trophy, let’s break the losing streak, and do our best to mount a title charge, but my feet are on the ground.

It's ours to lose mate ;) . City will be strong once again and so they should be but I really don't see them doing as good as they did last season whereas us, I see us doing a hell of a lot more this season. I said it weeks ago and I still believe it, we'll win the league.

I haven't said the 'this is our year' stuff for many years but now it's my turn to say it because I genuinely believe it is.

The way I look at it right now, are we afraid of any team in the league? I'm not, we have enough quality to destroy all of them, we tore apart city 3/ 4 times last season and that's without the new signings. Every team playing Liverpool now, need to be afraid, including City because we can dominate this season. I'm not saying we'll go and win every single game, of course there will be some upsets but overall I think we're going to smash it.

You must’ve watched a different match than me. City didn’t look that good, Arsenal just looked like a team totally lost (I’m not saying that to belittle arsenal. ITs going to take them some time. ) but ederson is a weak point in their team for me. He’s not as good with his feet as many think. And he’s error prone. Their back line is not that good. Sure they’re going to be tough for anyone to beat but they’re not invincible.

We just need to take care of our own business. Our team is better, I truly believe it. The only player I’d take from them (in the first 11s) is De bruyne. If we stay focused we can beat them.

I'd have to agree that City were not their usual selves yesterday but hey, it's only the beginning of the season. How many teams can afford to start a game with De Bruyne and Sane on the bench? For those who predicted that Arsenal would be in the top 4, after yesterday's game I would say that's wishfull thinking at best. Completely chaotic and very undisciplined. And the usual Arsenal problem - some players play their socks off and others couldn't give a damn.

The difference between us and most other teams that played City last season (and how Arsenal looked last game) is that we don't sit back, worried that they are going to rip us apart. We actually want the ball and want to get at them. Remember the Chelsea game last season? Shameful. As we've seen with the CL last season, we can beat them, and beat them well. Our main problem I fear, is that we'll drop silly points and be relying on other teams to hurt City. I say City, but I don't expect us to be the only ones pushing them. The way everyone is talking, you'd think it's a 2 horse race.

That City team played without David Silva, Sane and KDB. Put those 3 in and they would have tore Arsenal to pieces. City are the favorites for the league by some distance, just accept it. I will be delighted to finish 2nd and within 10 points of City, who just happen to probably be the most dominant team in the premier league era. That would be progress for Klopp and Co, and we can always target trophies in the form of the UCL and FA Cup for now.

Yes it will come down to who is most consistent. If we can improve the areas where we dropped points then we'll be in with a shout.

Have to agree with Indian there. Although it was only 2-0, it was embarrassing at times in that first half. You had the feeling that if Sane, KDB and in particular, David Silva were on the pitch from the start, the scoreline would have been bigger.

I'm not pleased to say it, but City would probably be more consistent. I still think teams are more afraid of them than they are of us. Arsenal played without hope in the first half. Most teams would be that scared for the whole game and won't take a go at City.

We're bound to have doubts about our consistency because of how we've been the past god knows how many years but them days are over imo, the way Klopp has this team playing, the players we have, they all work hard, they want to succeed more then anything you can just see it, we'll be more consistent this season and we'll smash it, after that CL final the players are hungry for it. I don't see it going down to the last few games either, I believe we're going to do it with ease.

City have got an incredible team we all know this but will they do what they did last season again? no chance.

It's not just City though, everybody thinks it's just us and City in the league, no chance there's more challengers out there and I think Utd will be one of them, despite all the BS going on over there.

Call me old and daft, I am! but I do think I'm right with this, my partner at work thinks I'm speaking out of my arse but he's an Arsenal fan and a bit gutted today!
