Hate to be like this, I just don’t see us beating city to the title, I just don’t think they’ll drop enough points. Yes we may beat them, and maybe our 11 can match them. But they just score goals, and their bench had same, Sterling, mahrez, with KDB out. They can handle 3/ 4 key injuries and still shift it around and put out a very strong eleven.
I think we will come second, I think we will get more points, but Huddersfield weren’t even in the same league today, yes they weren’t good by an stretch, they rolled over, but that’s part of their aura.
They can rest Aguero, sane and mahrez and still start Jesus Sterling and Bernardo Silva. If we wanted to rest, we are losing a lot more quality that they are.
I know I’m going to get a lot of disagrees, but you have to respect the way city play, their strength and their imperiousness in most games.

It will be close I think.
Can’t really judge after 2 games.

Its been two games man! they played two fairly poor sides. Anything can happen between now and October/ Novemeber. let alone by the end of the season. Just chill and enjoy the football.

City were favourites before the season started and still are. But they’ve literally played two games, let’s see how things look around Christmas.

Yeah we probably have our best ever team in the Premier League, it's a shame that we're up against probably the best ever team in the Premier League.

There's no pressure on us and unlike them, we have nothing to lose. If we want to challenge, we need to be consistent throughout the season and hope teams nick points off them (red cards, pens, dodgy offside goals etc) .

Let's just enjoy our football and take things one game at a time.

How city and liverpool both perform away from home will be the decider this year.

Both teams will blow most away at home.

Lets see how they do if we are breathing down their neck after 20 games.

City have the stronger squad and were favourites going into the season.

And low and behold after only 2 games nothing has changed!

Yes it’s only a few games in, but it’s the same squad as last year, adding mahrez and mendy. They haven’t lost anyone, or is we any reason to b me 15 points worse than last season, even if we get 15 more.

Lads please, can we wait till we have played four or five games or at the very least, wait and see can we beat Palace before we announce ourselves as contenders.

Spot on, Wolverine. Firmane, City played an Arsenal team who are in transition and a Hudd team that literally gave up before even stepping on the pitch. That is going to happen this season at the Etihad with these lesser teams. We cannot be getting our wires crossed or getting worked up over whether we can beat City to the title or not cos we are going to need the psych ward doing that.

We just have to focus on nus and what we do and not worry about what happens with City esp. at this early stage after two measly games. News Flash: City are Favs., end of story. We have achieved nothing yet and it is up to us to prove ourselves and if we don't win the title then, NOBODY will be surprised.

{Ed025's Note - i will..

To win the title you need s large squad packed with quality, you need team spirit, consistency and luck.

City have played 2 games, you can’t judge them on consistency or luck after 2 games. There is no reason why we can’t streak ahead of them let alone “catch” them.

You never know what will happen over a season. They might reach the CL final and slip up for the last 5 games as they focus on that. They might lose Aguero and Jesus for 4 months at the same time and be left with all that creativity but no one reliable to finish the chances. We might lose Salah and Mane for 6 months and be way off pace by the end.

It's a long old season. We have a good squad for the moment and so do they, best just see what they do really.
