one for the Ed's, and it's a long shot

I know you don't like discussing Finances - and this could be just as bad.

How does the co-efficient work for the UCL draw?

Looking at Pot 1 Lokomotiv Moscow are in it. I've gone back as UCL 10/ 11 and can't see them even in the group stages.

{Ed002's Note - Pot 1 uses the country co-efficients to determine who aside from the Champions League and Europa League winners are included - so given neither side naturally qualified as their National League winners, the remaining 6 places are taking up by winners of the six highest ranked National Leagues, hence Lokomiv are included as Russian Champions. Pots 2 to 4 use the club co-efficients.}

Thx Ed.
Good to know someone has a grasp on it.

Ed, with Liverpool being in pot 3 this season and just missing out on pot 2 because Benfica qualifying, would Liverpool be in pot 2 next season if we reach at least the last 16 this season?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - It depends how the other clubs around them do and who qualifies next season. As such I cannot possibly say.}

Thanks Ed. If, for example, all pot 3 teams win their league then the top ranked teams end up in pot 2 so it's impossible to say really. Thanks again Ed.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about, sorry.}
