I’m not sure you understand what playing in midfield actually requires. Clearly you would rather a Youtube freestyler type like Paul Pogba, who never does anything that a good midfielder should do, will never know how to control a game, always just looking for silly tricks and hollywood long balls. If he was honestly such a hinderance when it came to backpasses and the like then we would be struggling when he was in the team instead of winning almost every game. This notion that Henderson is a sideways passing, meaningless midfielder is just so totally wrong. United won multiple titles with players like Fletcher and Carrick performing the same job so maybe we should all listen to the boo boys and go and buy a midfield of Pogba, Fabregas and Isco; they all have fancy names so they’ll be good enough, right?

Henderson is an average footballer. No shame in accepting it. He never had the balls to carry the ball forward like Kieta. He is a safe player. Always prefer safe passes which are primarily back to CB or full back! Nothing wrong in saying it!

I don't think having a different opinion makes you a troll. I happen to disagree with him but I wouldn't be one for shouting him down because we don't agree. It's opinions after all, some fans see different things and maybe sometimes don't see the good in a player, some fans are blinded by loyalty and fear straying from the status quo.

Whilst I admit Henderson is not on Keita's level, what a load of rubbish it is to say Henderson is average. His passing range is brilliant, better than Keita's IMO, the difference is Naby is a physical specimen and has much more of an engine, we missed that yesterday hence us getting mobbed in the second half.

Our strongest midfield will eventually be Fabinho holding, Henderson and Keita in the free roles. Milners in the form of his life and Klopps Utilising that, that's the only reason Henderson is not starting every game, fair play to Milner.

Fabinho needs time to understand the role that's being asked of him, Wijnaldum finally upped his game but most people thought he could leave this summer.

It just seems that people have weird blinkers on when it comes to Henderson, plus the amount of abuse he gets of England fans makes me glad to be N. Irish.

There was a reason Keita was dropped Harry, maybe you missed the ridiculous amount of pointless backheels and flicks he tried last game that resulted in us losing the ball a lot. It also resulted in him getting hauled off at 70 minutes and dropped for this week. If a midfield of players who lose the ball constantly is your idea of a good midfield then you are sadly mistaken. I appreciate your opinion but it does feel as though you are more obsessed with false illusions of how good players at other clubs are compared to our own, ‘the grass is always greener’ so to speak.

I agree with that principle Rover, but saying Henderson never passes forward is a blatant lie and simply not true. So the OP either doesn't watch us play (ever) or is on a wind up like the opposition fans.

Harry you must really like looking at the insides of your large intestine, because you spend a lot of time doing it.

For a start, Henderson and Keita may both play in midfield but that doesn't mean they are expected to play the same way. Just because Keita has the ability to dribble with the ball doesn't mean that Hendo should too. Equally, I doubt Keita has the ability to run the game from a deep position in the way Henderson does, or have the tactical awareness either. They are different players with different styles, that's the whole point of teammates complementing eachother, otherwise you'd end up with an unbalanced team. It shouldn't need explaining.

Henderson will never be a Hollywood style headline grabber, but that should never diminish his contribution. Just because people can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. It generally means people don't understand what they are watching.

MK, I don't know that I throw out the accusation of mia being a liar. It is his/ her perception, that's all. Some people choose to see only what they want to see to support their argument. Everyone has their own perception of what an effective footballer is, that's all.
