Fair play to klopp starting Shaqiri in midfield. I didn’t see it coming but it made real sense knowing that Southampton would try to hold back and stifle us. that’s why he’s managing us tho and I’m not lol. Shaqiri playing well in that position 👍👍👍.

Also, klopp took him off while he was playing well. Gave shaq a sniff and has left him wanting more. Left the fans wanting more. The substitution didn't result on us losing our foothold in the game. Maybe klopp thinks shaq needs to up his fitness a bit too.

We won, more of our new players involved. It's all good.

Shaqiri coming off was definitely tactical, Southampton were getting so much room down our left hand side first half and some of their delivery into the box was very good. The game was over by half time and the only way Southampton were getting back into it was if we did something silly. Milner is far better defensively than Shaqiri.
