It annoyed me the way Klopp berated Shaqiri in front of the cameras. It's not the first time he's done it to a player. That should be kept for the dressing room.

{Ed002's Note - You are right, he should not do it.}

Yeah don’t get that Rudder? Even with extreme frustration with a player or with the result you deal with that in the changing room. Not seen Klopp do that before? Shaqs had a good game. Moreno however, now he deserved some hair dryer treatment. Perhaps he did.

RR, I don't think it was about Shaq's overall performance, but apparently something about the last free kick. I totally agree though, save stuff like that for the dressing room - especially when concerning such a 'minor' detail.

I also felt it a little harsh because overall, he had a pretty good performance.

What did he say?

Oh get over yourselves! Klopp goes a little bonkers in virtually every game it’s just it picked this one up for one player more obviously.

He’s a brilliant man manager - some people
Need an arm round their shoulder and some need a stronger arm. He knows what he’s doing.

#snowflakes.

Please, the PC police need to take a chill pill, seriously. Klopp is not the first nor the last one to do that and he has explained what he was on about with Shaq and it was NOTHING to do with his overall performance which by the way, was decent. Klopp was pissed that Shaq did not do what he was told to do on the last free kick and that is IT and nothing more. Should he have done it? Prolly not BUT I don't see prob with it PROVIDED it was addressed in the post match n Klopp did that. Shaq is a big boy and should be able to handle that.

I resent the snowflake comment. It has nothing to do with that. Shaq has a good game so I don’t think he deserved a roasting immediately at full time.

I think your reactions show that you’re incapable of hearing a bad word said about klopp. Perhaps you are the #snowflakes?

Didn't Henderson take the last free kick? Why did Klopp not have a go at his captain who obviously made the decision to hit it aimlessly into the kop end.

True 87red, but he was given instruction and he didn't follow it. This has always been the worry with shaqiri. He is a great player, we all know that. I thought he was probably our best player. We have some great training ground moves on free kicks and I think salah was completely open. A fake and then a quick pass to salah and he would have been in the perfect position to curl one into the far corner.

If shaq is not going to follow instruction then I think the saying it to the camera was calculated. If shaq is going to be a part of this title push and ucl push then he needs to do what he is told and be a part of the team.

Although shaq had a good game I thought his final ball was pretty poor to be honest.

Spot on, Mane. 87red, you are free to defend Shaq BUT you are defending Shaq on what did NOT happen. If Klopp (as he said) expected Shaq to do something on the free kick (something they obv. already worked on for this type of free kick at Melwood) and he did not do it then he is asking for Klopp wrath whether in public or in private. Again, should Klopp had done it like he did? Prolly not BUT I repeat, this is a nothing burger as managers have done this in the past, present and will continue to do so as football is an emotional game. This has nothing to do with whether someone ever has a bad word to say about Klopp cos we all know his flaws. Again IMO, This is a Nothing-burger that people are falling for it for no reason and I personally, am not falling for it.

Cheers brover. Good to have you back mate BTW.

The loss comes down to our defence. We played our defence of two years ago who were easily the worst defence of the top 4, even top 6. Clyne is unpopular but I thought he was the only one who played well in that defence yesterday. Hazard must have looked at it and smiled.

Bring back Becker, van dijk, gomez, robbo and trent.

Heat of the moment, emotions running high, probably happens all the time. I remember Klopp used to spend 89 minutes roasting Moreno when he first started 😄😄.

This has absolutely nothing to do with either protecting Shaq or being against Klopp for giving reprimands to the players. Snowflakes? Give me a freakin' break.

For me Klopp, the players and virtually anyone involved can go as bunkers as they want to during the 90 minutes of football that is played, as much as they can show appreciation and joy. Players shout at each, managers shout at players or the refs, etc - that's what happens during a game. You know, in the end it's a way of communicating and make clear to anyone on the pitch that what is happening is not good enough and so on.

I simply just don't think that what happens after a game is for anyone to watch. Save it for the dressing room - I don't see how it helps anyone getting pointed out like that right out in the open. Especially not when he has to explain it like that afterwards. Just keep it cool, don't show off your frustrations when there isn't anymore football (that day) to play anyway.

Please don't defend Klopp for it. i find it really wierd that kose is getting blamed for the same thing then klopp is getting praised? what u smoking media?

I agree with most of that 1jj, nothing wrong with a manager lashing into a player. don't see whah he didn't wait till the dressing room though, suppose tempers are running h8gh after a defeat.

Livebird Jose gets roasted for hammering his players in post match interviews not for shouting at the players directly.
When Klopp comes out says ‘I knew we were in trouble when VVD and Gomez had to take a penalty’ to a journo then I’ll have a problem with it. Telling a player off for not doing as he’s told is fine in my book.

{Ed025's Note - you know im a massive klopp fan bobby but for me that lacked a bit of class mate, more of a mourinho trait than what i expect of him to be honest..

Sorry Ed25, comparing Mou's continuously shameless behavior with Klopp telling a player off for not doing what he was told, are two DIFF. things. It is such "both-siderism" foolishness (not saying you are foolish) that helped give rise to Trump in the States. As the French say, "Let's compare what is comparable". Klopp gave Shaq a dress down on the pitch cos he did not do what he was told. If a camera was put on a manager in every game, we would see that A LOT so for me, this is a nothing-burger that people want to dwell on for no reason. In fact, Klopp addressed it and praised Shaq for his perf. and called him a good boy. This is NOTHING like Mou and his shameless behavior and open warfare with Pogba proves that. Cheers, man.

{Ed025's Note - im not saying it was serious brover just that i would have liked him to do that behind closed doors mate, i dont want him compared to that self indulgent dionosaur in any way shape or form..
