Really enjoyed red kurds debate further down the thread. I personally feel you did a good job in expressing your thoughts.
It made for some good reading and also interesting to see other peoples thoughts.

Though conveniently forgets when luck has been against us - see arsenal game for example. Using Kurds points we would be level with city if Manes goal was allowed.

We have simply changed our style and people are expecting our style of last year. I believe klopp believes the only way we can beat city and Chelsea to the league is this change so I’m prepared to wait and see as only TWO points behind city at their best - I’d say Klopp has fixed the problem which was last year’s defence.

Ifs and buts don't work in footy. The truth is we need to improve performance wise if we are serious abt lifting our 1st Premier League title in 3 decades.

Tij - I did not foreget about our luck. But as you know luck either way can be decisive and my focus was on us being lucky against other twams which at times we relied on.

It is the same as if luck would have gone against us and we would have lost.
We juat need have been much better by now that we are 12 games in and we are not.

If you look at Arsenal, Chelsea and City have improved over their 12 games. We have not and we need to be.

manU were drivel last season but finished above us. I think we are over reacting about the performances. important yes, but the results matter the most. and as long as we are pulling those out, then we'll be ok.

If's and but's do absolutely nothing for me. Why? Cos they even each other out and what's that saying in football again, "You make your own luck". So by that notion, we are where we are cos we deserve to be there, give or take. The table does not lie. "Coulda/ Shoulda/ Woulda" is used in a mocking way in sports for a reason which is why athletes never use it cos it makes it look lik you are feeling sorry for yourself and making excuses. We know where we need to improve and we will do that, IMO. Also, talking about luck, luck is also defines as "a moment when preparation meets opportunity". Pick which ever definition please you BUT it will not change the fact that we deserve to be second and undefeated and 2 points off City. NOTHING and NOBODY can take these achievements away from us.
