Hi Ed001. Great match review as always mate. Question for you, do you think we can maintain a push for the title this season? Appreciate only time will tell. We seem to be churning out the points every game without really playing as well as last season. A good sign I guess. I see how youve said Chelsea might slip away, I just hope we can stay up there.

Also on Kieta, he didn't play again on Saturday. Surely he needs game time to cement his place given his price tag?

{Ed001's Note - yes I do think we can, and will, maintain it. As for Keita, he will be fine, once he gets his match fitness and used to the team.}

I think Chelsea will slip away. The Europa league will take its toll as i imagine they should at least get to the Semis. They lack a player who is going to get them 20 goals a season and their defence is a little suspect. I think they will get top 4 but i don't think they'll be close to us by the end.

Cheers for reply ed. I guess im far to negative lol. Always worry that slip up is around the corner.

{Ed001's Note - usually I feel the same way, but this team is much more professional and cohesive than we have had in a long time. We have a group of players who play for the team, who are all working towards the same end. It is much better than I have seen since I was a kid.}

Agree mate. We no longer have to score 3 or 4 to win games as Klopp has adjusted tactics meaning we are more solid as a unit. Long may it continue.

{Ed001's Note - fingers crossed!}

Hi Ed001, I thought Hendo is normally a level headed fellow on this situations. Its just a surprise for me the way he reacted.
Again as you said Mane was overshadowed by others though he too has a good game. This points out one thing. How good is others.

{Ed001's Note - normally he tends to know the limits but he is under pressure this season, his place is under threat.}

Spot on, Kloppbanger. Liverpool is the only team I know (or knew) that would score 3 goals and still you could not say if they would win the game. I'm not sure people actually realize how nerve-racking it is to watch your team with that in mind. Even worse for the players and manager.

This is what Klopp is trying to fix and people may want to go back to that time when we would score 4 goals and concede 2 or 3, I am no longer interested in any of that. I'd rather win a game 2-0 than 4-2 all day long.

December’s a big month, isn’t it?
Everton, Man Utd and Arsenal with tricky always at Bournemouth and Wolves.

City, by comparison, have a tough away at Chelsea and Everton at home that may test them.
Other than that, you’d expect them to collect maximum points.
Is December **** or bust for the Reds?

Everyone has to play everyone home and away Juicer so it makes no odds who plays who in December.
I always think you’re better to get the away games against the big teams out of the way before the new year as they could buy big in January (Utd for example) to make a push in the second half of the season.
As the seasons have passed however it has become less of an issue as it’s an increasingly difficult market in January.
I could see Utd and Chelsea going big for a striker though. It’s crazy when you think they were both fighting over Morata and Lukaku and both spent big on them but neither are good enough so now they will need to go big again.

Spot on, BB. You play who you have on your schedule and move on.
