Imagine how many teams would love to be in our shoes right now? 2 points off top, STILL in the champions league, under pressure sure but we're still in it yet we get all these so called fans saying we're already out, it's laughable stop being rediculous suck it up and move on. Sometimes I feel certain fans don't realise how lucky we are right now, with this team, manager and the owners I personally couldn't be happier.

It's never bloody good to lose a game but that's what happens in football people, we lose, we draw and we win its part of the game. Big problem here is we've been spoilt rotten the past year or 2 and things have been going fantastic so when we lose, suddenly its the end of the world lol. This is just the beginning, the club has been built to compete with the best, stop underestimating us because we're right up there once again, believe.

Well we haven't played well all season, couple of our new players haven't settled, out of one cup. now need to beat an ancelotti team by 2 goals in a hope to go through. Which isn't going to be easy considering our CL performances.
can understand being positive, but being blind to your deficiencies is just deluded! There are questions to be asked of the squad, the midfield, the front 3 performances.
You can't throw money at the league and then be happy with what we're seeing.

I think we only have to better the result that Napoli got against us, right?

Thumbs up salah

The defeat vultures are out in full force today.

Thats not a dig at you Deanw. Just the amount of doom monger posts on here today.

Its not all totally perfect at the minute. Everyone can see that just by watching.

Hardly any of them post when we win and even then its to complain rather than celebrate a win.

Watching neymar roll about last night is second only to some of the moaning on here today.

Even the best club teams in the World (ie. Barca, Real, Bayern, Juventus, Inter) lose away games, so yes, it's neither a disaster nor the end of the World. We're just paying the price for underperforming against Red Star.

I think we'll be fine against Napoli. If the home crowd makes it hell for Napoli and the players are well prepared mentally, it's all doable, and I'm sure it will get done.

I had a quick look on the "match posts" site after the game last night, and I felt the exact same as you Salah mate.

I don't know how it happened, but there seems to be a section of fans (albeit i'm sure it's small in comparison, just less small on an internet forum) that genuinely believe Liverpool should never lose another game. That was PSG we were playing, who haven't lost domestically in ages, and haven't lost at home in even longer, with the most expensive frontline in history. away from home! A point would have been a great result, and we were 1 goal away from that (albeit a defeat was probably the right result) .

I think the 2nd half of the season will see a shift in our playing intensity (assuming we can switch it on after half a season of a more reserved style), but to be within one win of the top of the league and our CL group, I really don't see what we can complain about.

I certainly don't think we have been "spoilt rotten" in the last few years. As fans we should be desperate to win trophies, not just play good football. The end product needs to be trophies, that's what Klopp and the players want.
Saying that, I still think we will go thru. It's in our hands, at Anfield, under the lights. It's set up for another great night.

Big boy Shanks.
The rules actually state 1-0 or a win by 2 goals 3-1 for example.

2-1 for example would see us out.

Everybody chill, we are doing fine.

We will see it step up after Christmas, believe me.

We are in a good position in the league and a win against Napoli and things will feel good again.

Again, it's ok to say "It's Psg, they are a great team", but we also lost our other 2 away games, one we most definitely should have one. I'm sure if we had not screwed up so badly against Red Star then losing to a great team like Psg wouldn't be such an issue.

We never see half these posters when we win, they just wait till we lose then have a moan or slate a player off, TAA scores a fantastic freekick at weekend and noughing said bout it, yea i don't like it when we lose, but i support liverpool whatever result we have.

Spot on Salah. I have stopped caring about fans who are only here to wish us failure or ridicule just to show that they were right about so and so. Imagine rooting for your own team to fail so you can gloat. That is not having an opinion. That is having an agenda. These guys are only mad cos Klopp or the owners did not do what they wanted so cos that did not happen, they wish us to fail so they can say "See, I knew it" or "See, I told you so". What a sad life that must be.

Having said all that, I am worried about something even bigger than what we saw last night. It is what we are seeing of late in CL away games. We seem to not be able to match teams' intensity and energy when we play away from home. Red Star, Napoli and now PSG came out flying from the off and we just could not match their intensity. Sorry but you can't win in the CL on the road without matching the oppo's energy and not having any shots on target like we did last night. This has to change. YNWA!

I think we will still qualify Salah, but some of the decisions Klopp makes are a little iffy, for me personally I’d of started Trent and Gomez at CB, Gomez struggles with the pace of Neymar and Mbappe, Trent is a little faster, the space they left behind them would of been penetrable with Trent making the runs up field, I’d of started Fabinho over Henderson, and arguably Shaqiri over Gini, we knew we could of went for that game all guns blazing with more of an attacking threat and if it backfired, then we could potentially go though at home against Napoli, which is not an easy game at all, I do think he gets a lot wrong, in the league we’ve been good, not fantastic but we’ve got the results needed, it’s swings and roundabouts with Klopp, there’s not another manager I’d like at Liverpool at present and I hope he remains here for a very long time, I just think sometimes he can be a little iffy with his decision making.
