Ed,

Are Barcelona happy to put Coutinho up for sale because they feel he isn't worth the additional payments that could be potentially owed to Liverpool? I hope that makes sense.

{Ed002's Note - No, it is nothing to do with that.}

I feel that this whole "Coutinho transfer" saga is completely fabricated by the media. There's only 7 players in that squad that have played more minutes than him. He's not the first name on the team sheet, but he's certainly not the last. He's part of a squad rotation.

I think the problem is that he was seen as the successor to Iniesta, and he's not that player. He still a fine footballer though and he'll just have to fill a different role for them.

There's absolutely nothing coming from Barcelona that they want him out. Well at least from what I've seen.

{Ed002's Note - No, he is available and being offered for part exchange.}

PSG exchange with Neymar?

{Ed002's Note - This is the Liverpool page - it has all been dealt with elsewhere at length.}

Thanks for the clarification Ed002. I hadn't read anything concrete to that effect until now and I trust your sources.

I expect they want to recoup a large amount of what they paid though, and I'd imagine that there's only a small subset of players that Barcelona would be interested in as a part-exchange. It may end up in them just having to play him to his strengths and trying to fit him in, as there must be very few teams able to sign him and be willing to, and furthermore have a player they are happy to part with that Barcelona also deem worthy for their squad.

Ed2 is the source.

I can not laugh enough at his sittuation.
To go to the extent of engineering his "dream move" and to have it turn out as it has done is just funny.

You can not go to Barca, Real Madrid or even PSG to expect first team place as a certainty, especially where they like to buy up everyone they can.

I understand his dream move and his ambition but would be nieve without any real solid assurances that he would be a main starter.

Now he probably feels in no mans land all at the peak of his career.

Haha Faithinworks. Ed002 is not in charge of Barcelona transfers. If he knows that person (s) directly, that is his source. It more likely that he knows somebody that know somebody that knows that person. Or even one step further. Nonetheless, I appreciate his input so so much.

Ed2 is not the source he just reads tweets from that fat kid from Bolton. He’s the real source ;-)
