Good morning Eds.
Question for ED001, if you think it's worth an answer?

What is your view on what might happen with Klopp, should Liverpool not win the league this season?

Personally, I'm enjoying the ride and think he's doing a fantastic job. I don't want him to leave. I couldn't think of anyone better to replace him either.

However, going from a potential 7 point lead to maybe being second after the next round of games and possibly City winning the title. In that situation, he's there my fear the owners may think this is as far as it can go? Or is it more like, wow that's was close we've come a long way in three seasons let's all all push on and go one step further.

I'm pondering this question cause I know the owners are business men, ruthless, Klopp himself said titles (any comp I sent a title) in three years and obviously next season it'll just get tougher.

{Ed001's Note - I don't think anything will happen. Just because they are ruthless does not mean they make changes for the sake of it. We have taken another step forward this season, whether we win the league or not.}

We've made it a title race this season. Which is a major improvement. City are wary they need to be at their best.

If we are honest we are maybe 1-2 players away from being able to compete squad wise against city. But it's not fifa and we can't keep buying players without moving others on.

I hope we do look at some of the players that seem injury prone. We need players we can rely on. We added that this year with Fabinho, Shaq but little way to go on the right tracks though.

Progression is there for all to see it's clear as day.
I think the only mistake this season has been January window, not getting a defender In might bite us on the ass, the Clyne transfer was very odd.

{Ed025's Note - it was very odd L8...that you actually got money for him..

I don’t disagree with letting Clyne, who was clearly not good enough or trusted, leave. But it’s daft not to bring a new defender in with both RB options injured and 3 CBs injured.

Klopp said the decision to sell Clyne was made during the moment that it was the best decision. People judged the decision way way after that moment. Klopp said that. It wasn't daft at all. That's a really good point that I don't think much can be argue on.

We haven’t lost since he went.

No matter what anyone says, if we don't win the league the desperation from our fans will be devastating for klopp and will breed lots of toxic everywhere around the club from fans media etc.

No ifs about it, we're winning the league. Jordz spot on.

Clearly Klopp and the coaching staff did not want Clyne around anymore. And that since 2 years already. Some day the full inside story will come out, because he was not a complete, hopeless case on the field (Ed001 has alluded to low lifestyle standards already) . But in the meantime, Klopp and the staff were happy enough to put Randall into the roster and let Clyne go. I still remember from the Sakho case. If Klopp wants someone out, he is out, no matter what else is going on, come hell or high water.

At least Mignolet, Clyne, Moreno, Milner, Origi, Markovic and Sturridge wil leave in the summer. That will give us room to make some big improvements to the squad as that is a lot of big earners off the wage bill. Lallana and Lovren probably aren't safe either as they are earning to much and talking too much to be squad players.

Notice that all of those guys predate Klopp's arrival. He's siphoning off the weak links steadily. Klopp is slowly transforming the club into a force again. Title or no title, he will be in charge next season and I back him to lead us to silverware very soon.

Look back a few years and realize how far we’ve come. We would be nuts to let Klopp go, as clearly we have been improving year on year and that’s more than most teams can say in a league as tough as the PL.

I’m sure Klopp will stay. The team is progressing and the squad continues to improve. Most players are now worth more than they were when Klopp joined. I think Klopp will get a great chance to get some new blood in this summer as some of the fringe players of the old establishment leave. This is similar to City where there was a mass exodus (Clichy, Navas, Zabaleta) on free contracts last season after which Guardiola could really make the whole squad his own.

Klopp has gradually built his own starting 11, and will look to build his own bench next season as we see potential departures of Studge, Milner, Clyne, Lallana, Moreno. The owners have given him a 6 year contract for a reason and I would be very, very surprised if he was asked to leave end of this season irrespective of where it goes from here.

I can't get over how fickle/ negative fans are on this site sometimes. Over the past 2 days I have read posts about being worried about UTD? (13 pts ahead with a game in hand! ) and now wondering about Klopps future (win tonight and we are 5 clear! ) . Some fans are definetely losing their nerve that is for sure. (Time to grow a pair! I believe Klopp and our team are made of sterner stuff and deserve our support. 3-1 to us tonight Salah to get 2.

MK, we'd be crazy to let Milner go. He's going to win the Ballon D'Or when he's 46.

Quality response from Ed 025 and I must say, I totally agree with you! Selling our 4th choice right back shouldn’t impact us one bit.
As for a change of manager. He is the right man for the job wether we come 1st, 2nd or 3rd. I can’t think of anyone else I’d want in that dug out. He could manage any team in Europe!

{Ed025's Note - i agree welsh..

OP, FSG are not that stupid. Ruthless BUT not stupid. Nothing will happen to Klopp except if FSG want to feel the full fury a very large majority of the worldwide fan base, mine included.
