HI eds haven't posted in a while. what would be you're opinion on Mitrovic of Fulham as a back up striker instead of origi and studge. would definitely change our attack as a plan b I think. thoughts anyone?

{Ed001's Note - no thank you, good player but he needs to be number one, he admits as much himself. He would not be suited to being a back up.}

Do you think he’d suit our team?
Doesn’t seem dynamic enough for me.

{Ed001's Note - probably not, but he would allow a change in system.}

On the subject of striker, Ed, what’s your opinion on Timo Werner?
Apologies if you’ve mentioned it before.

{Ed001's Note - he is flexible enough to cover for all 3 forward positions, so I think he would be a good signing, if his ears are up to it.}

I think it will end up Sturridge and Origi leave with Werner and Brewster to replace.

Do u think that's what influenced werners poor performance at the world cup ed, he was way off level required an obviously crowds would be loud due too occasion.

{Ed001's Note - could well be, but I think it was more of a general malaise running through the German camp which was split.}

I don’t like what I’ve seen of Werner, but we need someone of that calibre to rotate seemelessly.

ed2, prior to mitrovic moving to newcastle I recall you saying he woukd be a good option for us. Have things worked out for him in the prem?

{Ed002's Note - Mitrovic would have been a good option as cover. Once he settled his goalscoring record for the past 18 months is pretty good given the poor sides.}

I know this is just fantasy football but Son would be the ideal man to provide fantastic cover, competition and rotation for our front three.

Son would be a brilliant signing but it means either son, mane or salah are benched. City have a wealth in riches so why not us?

Robbiesline, with how we've played with a 4-2-3-1 formation for a large part of the season (against the 'lesser' teams), we could easily fit all of them in. Son could slot into the right wing instead of Shaqiri or Mane could shift over to the right whilst Son takes the left, or Son could even go up top with Firmino while Salah stays out wide. I'd imagine it'd be quite a fluid front 4 with how good the off-the-ball movement each of those player possesses.

Son will never happen.

Son can play ANY position in the forward live. He is the real star at Spurs, IMO. If Spurs are still in with a shot at the title, it is SOLELY cos of Son, IMO. He would be brilliant for us not just talent wise, but his work rate, work ethic and determination to be great, is exactly what our team needs.

As for Mitrovic, Ed01 is correct and would not want him even as cover cos the team has to play mainly to his strenghths.

As for Werner, I am still not sure of him even tho I have seen lots of his games (last season while keeping tabs on Naby) and to me, he misses too many chances and goes missing during games. It is for this reason IMO, that then RBL manager Hasenhutel benched him for the young Frenchman Georges-Kevin Augustin. Now if Klopp wants him and thinks he can do a job (Esp. since he can play all front 3 positions then, I'm game.
